Pay the NON REFUNDABLE deposit and get your funds together and pay me in full in 48 hours. The deposit is not for me to hold the car while you think about it, ask a thousand questions, request hundreds of pics and videos only to back out a week later because I told you not to drive it 800 mile cross country on a just rebuilt engine without changing the oil and adjusting the valves etc. Ask plenty of questions before you agree to buy. Not after. Hell call me old fashioned but drive over and look at the car. Or get an appraiser. If you do not see it in the picture it isn't there. Do not ask about any original parts that are not in the pictures. Never have I had this much trouble selling a vehicle. Now with that said...The description...This car has a CLEAR North Carolina Title. (Not a salvage title and no liens). Professional prepped and sprayed Blitz Black paint job. A new front windshield seal was installed. The car has a rebuilt VW 1641 (Maul piston set, new generator, new belt, new dual empi carbs, power pulley, new push rod tubes, new seals including rear main seal, new main and cam bearings, new coil, new rod bearings, new clutch, with less than 200 miles on the rebuild. New steel fuel line and filter. Original four speed Porsche transmission and new clutch. 8 x 15 Black Cookie Cutters with new end caps, new Capital 195/55R15 tires, relocated Optima gel battery, battery security switch, fuel cut off valves, 3k yellow HID H4 headlights, 500 yellow lens Hellas rally lights with covers, led tag light, and Hella third brake light. The car has adjustable ride height air shocks on the rear. The 912 has been stored indoors for the last six years. The interior consist of two original seat, a obviously not original steering wheel, two rubber floor matts, two chrome window cranks, original headliner, original gauges, working (yes working) original dome lights, original rear view mirror, and a dash that looks like it attended a swank party on the planet Mercury. As for the rust... The last time I tried to get a car through a MRI machine it ended up modern art and my nurse gf left me (whatever). I did not restore this car. If I had I would want about 20k and your first born. So I have no idea what lurks under the paint and undercoating. No bubbles or holes to report. The interior... There are no seat belts, no carpet, no door cards, arm rest, nor back seats. Do not ask where they are. Probably featured on a milk carton but since I drink beer I would not know. Very fun car to drive. A real attention getter. Buyer is responsible for shipping the car. I will store the car for free for one week. After the first week there will be a 100.00 a week storage fee and my blind/deaf twenty one year old cat with a bladder infection will take up residence in it. If you are expecting a show car for this price I am sure someone is selling a time machine on Ebay. I assure you this is not a show car. But it is a great/fun car to have and drive.
