The vehicle is a pickup truck built on a 1916 Ford Model T chassis. The vehicle has original fenders, hood, radiator, lights and running gear. The wheels are wood spoke with 4" x 30" tires. The bed is an aftermarket kit from Mac's and the cab has been built to fit the chassis out of native hardwood and exterior plywood. The engine was rebuilt by Sheridan's near Muskegon, MI as was the transmission. The transmission has Kevlar bands and the driveshaft has been updated with rear tapered roller bearings and front needle bearings. The brakes have been upgraded with the addition of Rocky Mountain brakes. The electrical system has been upgraded to a 12 v. system with an alternator and Texas T distributor. The rear end was rebuilt with the addition of bronze spacers in place of the original babbit spacers and new ring and pinion gears. The rebuilding was completed in 2008 and the vehicle has been driven about 1000 miles since. The truck would look right at home on the streets of the late teens and twentys as a very utilitarian vehicle for light hauling as a work truck and is very suitable for weekend tours as well as being very reliable due to the later electrical system. The lights have been upgraded to halogen lamps for greater safety and visibility during night driving. The engine is equipped with a starter which is operated by a key switch and solenoid. The vehicle requires nothing to be driven and enjoyed. The oil was changed shortly before listing. Included with the vehicle is an assortment of small parts including a spare starter drive along with a homemade rear end holding fixture and a few model T tools (not original). There are also some Model T publications and parts catalogs from different suppliers.
