This car has a V8 with 4 barrel carburetor and automatic transmission. We received this beautiful car from the previous owner, who after being blind (unable to drive) held it for a number of years, wanted to find a home for it. The engine is a very strong factory replacement block with no serial #’s stamped on it and runs like a very fast 289. It always starts easily, doesn’t smoke and performs great. The transmission was said to be rebuilt and shifts up and down perfectly. Headliner is nice. It has a wonderful dual exhaust and the front end and steering are nice and tight. Electrical lighting all works good. Details: We did the following to it and got it back on the road this spring: · Placed a heavy duty battery in it. · New Water Pump. · New Radiator Hoses · New Antifreeze · New Radiator Thermostat · New Fan Belts · New Fuel Filter · New Plug Wires & Spark Plugs · New Distributor Cap & Rotor · New Air Filter · New Master Cylinder · New Wheel Cylinder’s Front & Back · New Wheel Seals Front & Back · New Brake Shoes Front & Back · New Brake Flex Hoses Front & Back · New Brake Fluid and Brake adjustments · Lubricated window lifts · Coated inside door panels with POR15 & replaced vapor barriers · New front Parking Lenses · New Trunk Seal (included, but not installed) · New front emblem · New front Seat Belts · New Whitewall Tires We just tested it out by driving it about 1,500 miles on two tours and it performed excellent! The paint is about 15 years old, but presentable. The car is very solid with no signs of any rust in fenders and doors, but the flat floor pan centers need replacement. There is some sheet metal screwed down on the floor pans under the carpet. The climatizer heater core under the seat is missing and defroster isn’t working. The Speedometer isn’t working. Radio not working and no antenna. Right rear trunk hinge sits high and needs adjustment, or replacement. Trunk lid has a small dent and needs a new seal (included, but not installed). There is a windshield chip that needs simple repair. If you want a fun car to enjoy with comfortable luxury and is ready to enjoy, this car will provide “Miles of Smiles” without breaking the bank!
