Vehicle Detail

I looked for one of these for several years before finding this perfect example. I'm the third owner and am only selling because my nearly-70-year-old body just doesn't want to stay folded up to ride it much anymore, in fact, I've only ridden it 800 miles since I bought it 18 months ago. It is so beautiful that I've considered bringing into the house as an art piece, but it wouldn't be right to not ride such a sweet bike. I have all service records since new along with the owners manual and tool kit. There are currently just 7604 miles on it. It runs and rides perfectly and is totally stock except for: the suspension - front fork springs are Race Tech, rear shock is Hagon; Dynojet carb kit; and baffles removed from the stock mufflers and repacked with fiberglass (it really purrs!). The previous owner estimates is has 160 crank hp (stock is 148 hp). It is the smoothest, fastest bike I have ridden in my 50+ years riding motorcycles. Here are the most recent items: Oil and filter changed at 6899 miles, new battery on 12/01/2012, new chain at 5959 miles, at 5607 miles the carbs were cleaned and rebuilt, new plugs and ign harness, new brake fluid, new antifreeze, valve adjustment (only one valve out of spec). New Metzler M3 tires at 3635 miles (about 4000 miles on them - plenty of tread left). Google "1999 Triumph Daytona Special Edition" for complete details You can go to YouTube, search for "Triumph Daytona 1200 SE" by Chester and that is my bike (not one just like it, but THIS EXACT BIKE), posted by a previous owner. It looks and runs just like it does in the video. I've make no changes to it since the video was shot. Sorry I can't post the link, but eBay does not permit links any longer. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close (PayPal accepted). Balance due within 7 days (check or cash). Shipping responsibility of buyer.
