1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible - Restoration Started - West Coast Car - Rare! Also Comes with a 1956 Eldorado Seville Parts Car!! Here is an amazing find! It is a 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible that is an actual "Garage Find" from southern Arizona where it rested for approx. 20 years in its? present condition. The restoration was started by a gentleman in Oregon years ago and then sold to a man in Tuscon who never touched it. A subsequent divorce situation made it available to me. 1956 was the first year for the Biarritz model designation and only 2150 Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles were produced this year, making this an extremely Rare and desirable collector car! Included with this Rare Cadillac is a 1956 Eldorado Seville 2-Dr. HT Black plate California car that, while very restorable in its? own right, was purchased years ago to be used as a parts car for the Biarritz. After a rather comprehensive inventory of components and parts from both cars, I can easily say that you will have 99+ percent of the parts needed to finish the Convertible and still have a very restorable Seville to do something with. Both cars will be sold for one money. Both cars have good titles. A fair amount of work and money have already been spent on the restoration. The car was totally disassembled and the chassis cleaned, powder coated or painted, rebuilt and reassembled. The engine and transmission were reported to have been rebuilt and I have no reason to doubt it. The body and sheet metal was stripped to bare metal, any needed body work done, everything primed and the underside and firewall painted. The body is bolted back onto the frame and a $3,000 new set of wiring harnesses was ordered and is included. The sheet metal has been hung back on the body temporarily for convenience. This should make a fairly easy and rather straight forward restoration project for anyone so inclined. With finished cars bringing up to and even over $150,000 at recent auction houses, this should make a great investment opportunity! The body on this Rare classic appears to be 100% as rock solid and rust free as you would expect a West Coast car to be! There are no obvious patches or repairs to the sheet metal and it all appears to be original to this car. With very little additional work to the body, it will be ready for the gorgeous new paint finish the car deserves. The chrome and stainless components are all in great restorable condition and there are a total of 9 original Gold Sabre wheels that are in excellent condition. The chassis will need a little freshening up cosmetically to help make it the gorgeous show car it was meant to be! Most of the Eldorado specific components are present with the exception of the intake manifold and the hardboot; both of which are available online.
