1957 Chevy Bel Air 4-door. 235 6 cylinder, 3 speed on column.NO RESERVE! YOU BID YOU OWN IT!!!!New Tires - Carburetor - Clutch - Fuel Tank - Fuel PumpRuns and drives great. 117xxx original miles. Paint shines really good but does show some wear with very few nicks and scratches. I would say the paint is approximately 10 years old. Shows no signs of rust popping in body anywhere. The door jambs are clean and shiney black paint with a little surface rust showing where the weatherstripping has rubbed the paint off over the years. All the weatherstripping around the doors and trunk need replaced.Inside the trunk is clean but does show signs of prior body work coming through around both fender wells inside the trunk compartment. The trunk floor and rear body panels are solid with no signs of rust.The windshield has a small star burst on the driver sideDrivers Rear Tail light is missingFront Grille Emblem is missing The car has no key, the prior owners lost the key but it will still start with no key. I removed the trunk lock cylinder so you can open the trunk with a screw driver. A new complete lock set with ignition is $79.95 from danchukAll the windows operate as should with no signs of problems or wearThe windshield wipers do no work, probable just a fuse or something simpleThe heat/air ventilation blower motor does not work and the blend doors do not operate due to the cables being froze up. A new complete cable kit is $44.95 from danchuk and new blower motor is $35.95 from danchukAll the lights and turn signals work as should.The brakes and brake system work perfectly. It has a good brake pedal when applying the brakes and the emergency brake works and operates as should.The fuel gauge does not work properly, seems like the float needs to replaced $8.95 from danchuk. The fuel line, fuel pump and carburetor has been replaced. Motor runs smoothly with no sign of smoke and does not use any oil. The motor idles very nice and drives down the highway smoothly. The transmission shifts as should and the clutch has recently been replaced. So no problems at all there.The steering it tight and shows no signs of wear.The Floor pans appear to be solid and in good shape. The front and rear floor braces show the typical tri-five rust holes in them. Nothing serious because they all have them.All the stainless inside and outsside is in near mint condition. The Chrome bumpers have surface rust front and rearInterior is good, seats are perfect, but could use a headliner a couple little holes in it, the door panels need some attention in spots as the material has came unglued around a few edges.All in all this is really a good car if you are looking for minor fixer upper or one to completely restore. The body and paint need a good buffing and waxing and a little minor attention in the areas spoke of above and you'll have yourself a $18 thousand plus dollar car.I drive this car quite a bit and gets a whole bunch of attention everywhere I go. It is a true Bel Air with the original hub caps and many rare factory add on accessories, like the dual antennas, mirrors and hub caps with factory spinnersThis vehicle is for sale locally also.
