1978 Honda CR

This auction is for 2 Honda Elsinores. The bike with the unpainted tank is a 1978 CR250R. Frame VIN CR250R-2001162. Motor VIN CR250RE-100199. Motor is just sitting in the frame. Cylinder is sitting on top of the piston. Inside of cylinder and head is clean. Cooling fins look good. Clutch cover paint does not march and has been re-painted. There is a small chip on the motor case near the rear motor mount. Tank has some dents. Pipe looks to be some sort of experiment from the previous owner. The bike with the black motor is a 1979 CR250R. Frame VIN CR250R-2100316 - frame appears straight with no visible repairs. I was told the previous owner rebuilt the motor and could find the "Tahitian Red" paint so he painted the motor black. Can still see the original red paint on some of the cooling fins. I have not verified that the motor has been rebuilt. It does turn over freely and does have decent compression. Husqvarna rear shocks. Front forks feel good. Tank has some dents and paint loss. Pipe and silencer look good. Some of the extra parts include: 1978 motor cases (CR250RE-2006115) - look good with some chain rubbing on the right cover, Inside cylinder and head are clean with no damaged cooling fins, carburetor, throttle assembly, front fender and number plate, carb boot, reed valves, chain, brake stay, foot-pegs, motor mounts, cables, brake pedal and a small box of parts.
