Vehicle Detail
Thanks for checking out my restored and customized 1982 CB900C. I passionately build my bikes with a highly detailed restoration in mind but customized to look unique, clean, and modern as well as run and perform great. The CB900C is a favorite bike of mine. Its a powerful road bike that has high revving 4 cylinder, that is 9500 rpm capable. It is a unique, collectible bike, with a story, that really gets people noticing your different. The Green Machine started as a nice 24000 mile machine, saved from a garage after 20 years. I went through entire bike. Verified compression, performed a valve adjustment, replaced plugs and ignition wires, installed a new clutch, carburetor insulators and all engine gaskets were replaced, (installed during final assembly of course) a complete tear down and a restoration, not a "cleaning" of carburetors. New Dunlop tires wrapped around freshly painted Pearl wheels. The engine runs excellent.. From idle to redline. All brakes were inspected, and pads replaced. Then I took it apart, completely to the bare frame and engine. The paint that adorns the entire motorcycle from the frame, to the hand levers, are House of Kolor Kandys and Pearls. No expense was spared, and no short cuts were taken to build this machine. I took great care to prep the engine, frame and just about every part on the bike, for the House of Kolor paint. The tank, fender, side covers and tailpiece are painted with a 3 stage candy paint. Organic Green over Orion Silver base coat. There is also 3 coats of Acrylic clear, all wet sanded to a wet glassy finish. It is electrifying as the sun light bounces from curve to curve. There is an LED that shines down at this plate for a highly detailed look at night. ALL of the Black on the bike is painted, and is beautiful. It has Green Pearl added to the Clear coat. Of which a picture can only pick up so-so. It must be seen in person. It is shimmering and shifts from Black to Green as the Sunlight hits it. BTW, I mean every black piece on the bike went through this process. Acrylic clear= worth the expense! I wanted the bike to be able to carry a passenger, so I trimmed the bulk off the stock seat pan, and pad, and shaped it the way you see here. The stitching is a titanium color and it accents nicely with the silver badging. All the wire harnesses were went through and cleaned during reassembly. I also replaced all the incandescent lighting with LED lighting. The taillight, and driving lights on the front of the frame are LED as well as brake lights in the back of the frame, made from 10mm LED also made specific for this build. The headlight is a BI Zenon headlight and make driving at night very comfortable. For show, Green and White LED accent lighting under the tank and frame is just enough light to draw eyes, but not be ridiculous or gaudy. It also increases your visibility at night. The gauge is a Digital type from Danmoto. The tach is ok, but it's a little jumpy at idle but uses an electric sensor instead of the cable driven nonsense. Once the bike was reassembled I synced the carburetors, set the timing, and went cruising! This is a high level build and is a beautiful show machine. This bike took hundreds of hours to build, and it is a great bike to put in your collection or to ride. Please bid with confidence, and thanks again!
