Vehicle Detail
Here's a really nice example of the coveted 1st year GL1000 Gold Wing. I acquired it from the 2nd owner who had it decommissioned for the last two years. I'm now selling it to fund another project of mine. This motorcycle has been recently serviced to include the following work: Fresh 10W-40 engine oil, new OEM (Honda) fuel pump, removed & cleaned carburetors and manifold assy., replaced all fuel & air lines, replaced o-rings (4) on coolant lines which service each head, new NGK - D8EA spark plugs, new battery, re-set coil wires on each spark plug resistor cap, inspect & clean the points, new OEM clutch cable, drained & filled coolant, replaced DOT 3 brake fluid (front & rear) and installed a new OEM fuel filter. She runs well but as with any vintage motorcycle will always need some fine tuning and diligence with performing preventative maintenance. The charging system is working properly with an indicated 15.37v while the engine is idling. All the lights & horn work...the Dunlop tires are a few years old but show no signs of crazing on the sidewalls. Overall, as seen in the recent photos, the original paint looks great and it shows very well but remember it is 39yrs. old so there is some patina here & there and the seat cover is torn but easily repaired/replaced. I'm including a Honda tool kit, auxiliary kick start lever and a clear NY title which can be signed over to the buyer. Additional pictures are available upon request and I will do my best to answer all questions...good luck & bid to win...! If you have any questions, please contact me. If you live close to Charlotte, NC I encourage you to come and inspect the motorcycle in person! In an effort to protect the eBay user information and to help ensure the authenticity of correspondence between sellers and bidders, eBay’s new listing format does NOT display any bidder information. Nevertheless, I STRONGLY encourage bidders to contact me directly to answer questions or to verify correspondence. Seller reserves the right to not accept bids or sell the vehicle to anyone with a zero or negative eBay feedback rating.
