Vehicle Detail
Here for your consideration is what is left of a 1969 XKE Series 1 Roadster. This was a perfect low mile, damage, rust free car that was used for a custom fabricated race car project. What is for sale is pictured, please look carefully at all the pics, everything pictured is included, nothing more, nothing less. I have no title for the car, the body number is all that is present. I am not a Jag expert so I am guessing on the year. The rear of the car was covered in mold material that was mostly removed for the pictures. There is more to remove but I can assure you that you are looking at one virgin rust free body. A great doner for a severly rusted or damaged car. Or a great start for your own project. Or simple a cool piece of art to mount on your wall. I have 50 plus pics that I would be happy to send. I will happily provide a bill of sale, but I am considering this a pile of parts. My reserve is based upon what I see as the value of the parts. Cheers On May-22-14 at 17:59:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I just found a pic of the car in its original glory, however I cannot add or edit any of the pics since the reserve has been met. If you have interest I will be happy to email it to you as well as many other pics I took. I should also have mentioned that this Jag has always resided in New Mexico until its recent trip to Northern California. Shipping should not be too much of an issue, moves easily on a heavy duty furniture dolly. I had it transported from NM to Ca for $700 and am happy to assist with transport. Cheers On May-25-14 at 17:26:41 PDT, seller added the following information: A Jag expert has recently shared with me that this car is actually a 1970, not a 1969 as I have previously stated. It is #1,374 of 1970 production, though only minor changes from 1969-1970. On May-26-14 at 17:53:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to point out that the filler that is still on the rear of the car is material that was used to create a different profile that was used in the mold taken from the car. It is NOT the result of body damage nor a conversion from a coupe. Most of the material came off easily with a plastic putty knife. What remains is quite this and will take a bit more work.
