Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this gorgeous 1966 Mustang Coupe, a documented 2-owner car with just under 57k original miles. It's a C-code Dearborn car built November 19, 1965. Antique bronze metallic with Parchment/Palomino standard interior and black vinyl top. All numbers matching 289/2v/3sp with factory 2:80 posi (very rare). Also factory AC! As far as I can tell, the intake manifold has never been off. Engine does have a new water pump, and a recent tune-up. True dual exhaust was also installed at some point. Very nice original condition -- everything works but the AC, which worked when it was parked, likely needs a charge. It runs and drives very well. I'm biased of course, but I think it looks fantastic. It is very unmolested with the complete original interior, sheetmetal, and vinyl top. About $500 has been recently spent on miscellaneous parts, to update a few things here and there. I also rebuilt the entire heater box and installed a new heater core and all hoses, seals, clamps, etc. -- works good as new. Also just installed are 5 brand new radial dual redlines on 5 restored styled steel wheels which cost me $2150. The whitewalls and factory wheels/caps are included, as is the original spare wheel with dual-redline tire. On May-22-14 at 05:34:38 PDT, seller added the following information: The original owner had the car repainted before selling it in 1991. The jams, trunk, underhood etc retain the original paint. On May-22-14 at 07:35:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Included with the car are the following items I had purchased with the intention of installing as time allowed: four new wheel cylinders, quarter post seals and screw set, slave cylinder boot kit, new can of palomino interior dye, quarter window weatherstrip, scott drake battery cable set, transmission output seal. There are probably a few other items, this list is off the top of my head. The car is available for inspection, send a message with your email and/or phone number for contact information.
