1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible We recently acquired this lovely little California Beetle Convertible, and were amazed at how nice it was. Although we don’t have any paperwork, it’s obvious that this Beetle has gone through a recent and thorough refreshing. The paint is fresh, the top is fresh, the motor appears to be brand new and runs like it is. Everything works as it should, lights, stereo, top, and gauges. The interior is in great shape, no smells, no rips, no tears, or evidence of water damage. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the linkage is tight. The tires are new and the hubcaps are in good shape. All of the chrome on the car is in great shape. Driving the car is an absolute pleasure, it tracks true, stops straight, and although it is no hot rod, it runs perfectly. If you were to buy one of these in average condition and restore it to this level you would spend a ton of time and money. This one is ready to go, it needs nothing, there is a lot of smiles per mile to be had. Please look through all the pictures and watch the included video.
