1965 MG Midget MK IIVery good condition, no rust!!! We were excited to find this 1965 MG Midget. I rarely see such these in such nice, original and rust free condition. Although I am no expert on MG Midgets, this appears to be mostly stock and looks to have been a Pacific Northwest car its entire life. The car last traded hands in 1981 and supposedly only had one other prior owner. The exterior of this MG is in very good condition; paint is still shiny and although not perfect, shows very well. The interior is in great shape, dash is good, all the gauges work and although the passenger seat upholstery has obviously been repaired in a non-original fashion, still looks very good. The hard top is in good shape, although it shows a bit of patina on the latching hardware. As good as it look on the topside, the really amazing part is the underside. If you have been around these much you know that rust is a problem with almost every single one of these. Not here, except for a very light amount of surface rust this one is rust free. Please see the included photo’s for details on the underside. As far as driving is concerned it performs exactly as it should, certainly no powerhouse, but it starts right up, idles smoothly and does not appear to be consuming oil or coolant. The gearbox shifts as well as any I have ever driven, and the brakes work properly. There is a small exhaust leak, not sure exactly where, but at some point that should be addressed. The car is quite nice in person, and is an instant conversation starter wherever it is driven. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer, more original MG Midget of this era.
