Prepare to be amazed! If you have ever wanted one of these rare 1100 Shadows you need to take a close look at this one. You might NEVER find another one like it in this condition. The History: I purchased this bike new from Boyce Honda in Metairie Louisiana in 1999. When purchased, I had them add a windshield, sissy bar & with back luggage rack and saddle bags. They actually called me and asked to hang onto the bike for a week after the work was complete because they were parking it in front of the showroom and it was drawing so much traffic into there shop they hadn't really seen anything like it. I obliged. It should be a crime but this bike ONLY HAS 4,980 original miles on it. I just had the carbs cleaned and a new jet kit installed at Pensacola Motorsports ($400). NOBODY there could believe the condition and beauty of this Honda and several thought it should be in a motorcycle museum because of the rare production of this blue / black color combination. It is truely an amazing bike. BY the way, This Honda has NEVER BEEN Wet from Rain. ALWAYS indoor, climate controlled covered storage. I did just replace the saddle bags last week due to the original ones drying out a bit and some of the stitching was coming loose. This is a sweet Bike that runs strong, very responsive with the twist of the throttle, and it draws a crowd everytime, even while knee deep in a mile of Harleys. This sale comes with a fairly new cover, The original tool kit, the owners manual, (1) key, Honda Service Manual for the VT1100C3 1998-2002. The reason that I am selling: I am basically semi-forced retiring after 30+ years due to the economy and will be moving soon. I absolutely love this bike, but the toys have to go. Besides, this bike was built to ride. I want this to go to somebody that will take care of it and cherish it as much as I have over the years. I have sold a LOT of "stuff" on e-bay (see my feedback) but I have no experience with Vehicles or Motorcycles. I am not shipping this item and the sale is as is where it sits in my Office warehouse, BUT I will make every attempt possible to assist with you setting up a Shipper. The location is on a commercial major roadway so a shipper will have no problems with a pickup of this item.
