Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1967 Camaro rs/ss. This car has been fully restored with a frame off restoration. In building this car I wanted something that was mostly original, but with a few modern features to make it more pleasant to drive. This car has been driven approximately 2,000 miles since the restoration was completed. Every part on this car is new or has been fully restored. Besides the wheels and the steering wheel the interior and exterior of this car have been restored back to stock. Where I did make changes is in the engine compartment, air conditioning system, the drive train, and the suspension. Although a lot of aftermarket parts have been installed they are all factory bolt in replacement parts. There was no cutting on the frame or body of this car. Starting with the engine compartment I installed a General Motors ZZ383 crate engine that has 425 hp and 450 ft.lbs of torque. The belt system has been upgraded to an aluminum serpentine setup with all billet aluminum components including the power steering pump. Other notables are an aluminum radiator with temperature controlled electric fans, a high amp alternator, optima battery, ceramic coated headers, and a magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system. The drive train is all new starting with a Tremec T-600 five speed overdrive transmission. The car is able to cruise the interstate at 70mph while only turning 2,100 rpms. The other parts of the drive train include an aluminum driveshaft, and the rear axle has an Eaton positive traction unit with a 3.55 gear ratio. The suspension on this car consist of all new components. It has a full Hotchkis suspension system that consist of all new springs front and rear, front swaybar, and subframe connectors. I have not installed the frame connectors but will be included. All bushings are new polyurethene, and it has KYB shocks. The car has power brakes with disc in the front. The aftermarket air condition works really well and is operated by the factory a/c controls, so there are no aftermarket controls hidden to operate it. I wanted this car to look factory but drive like a new one. This car drives perfectly and needs nothing. Body is straight, paint is great, leaks no fluids, etc. The reason I am selling this camaro is due to the limited time I have to enjoy it. Please fill free to ask any questions that you may have. I am not positive on whether this car is a true rs/ss or not. It does not have the original engine so it did not really matter to me. I just wanted a nice, show quality car that I could drive to shows and cruise-in's in comfort. This car is being sold as is, and I have done my best to describe it in full. Buyer is responsible for shipping but I will assist in any way possible that I can. This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Bank certified check or wire transfer payment only. Car will ship once all funds are cleared. Thank you for looking and or your bid. Once again please feel free to ask questions. Thanks
