I am selling my 1988 Saleen Mustang for no reserve. This car is bumper number 88-0335 and its authenticity has been verified. The VIN number is 1FABP41E3JF218623. This is one of 141 Oxford white hatchbacks with grey interior. This is a nice survivor that could be restored or driven as a nice daily driver quality Foxbody Saleen. You can drive this car to local car shows and get lots of attention. It is in good mechanical condition but could use some cosmetic improvements. The cosmetics are in average condition for a 26 year old car with the worst part being the driver’s side seat bolster. The previous owner was a big guy and he rubbed the bolster every time he got in and out. In the last year, I have had some of the mechanics refreshed by replacing the clutch, water pump, starter, and thermostat. The car also has had a recent tune up with a current Virginia State Safety Inspection. I would trust this car to drive cross-country without any issues. The Saleen is pretty much stock with the exception of a BBK cold air intake, APR caster/camber plates, and a sweet sounding exhaust consisting of a MAC off-road H pipe with cat delete and a pair of Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I will include a copy of the Saleen Registry Book showing the car is a real Saleen, a copy of the 1988 Saleen dealer guide showing all the specs of the car, and an Escort Radar detector that came with the car. I took this car to the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang in Charlotte and got all kinds of compliments on the car. Steve Saleen himself even came out in the rain to sign the dash. I’ve had my fun with the car but it’s time for me to move on. I would be happy to pick you up at the Norfolk International Airport (ORF) if you would like to fly in and drive this home.
