Vehicle Detail

800x600 1969 AMC Javelin SST: 290cid, 2 bbl – 3 spd Automatic, Column Shifter Exterior Color: Pompeii Yellow Interior: Charcoal & Black VIN: A9A797M315957 Hello, I am selling my ’69 Jav, it is currently all up to date with registration and has a clear California Title, and I am the third owner. I have owned 4 AMC’s to date, and I do love this car; but, I am taking a little break from car projects and using the money to focus on some home improvement projects for now. The car is a driver, turn the key and drive anywhere you want, I brought it back to life to look, inside and out, very much like it did in 1969. There are ZERO leaks, no smoke, starts right up, no rattles and straight as an arrow.I purchased it from a local California AMC enthusiast in May of 2012, who was selling his home and was making room for the move. The gentleman I purchased the car from told me that he purchased it from the original owner back in 2008, nearby Sacramento California, and at that time it had been stored indoors for many years (since ±1995), and continued to sit in under roof storage through 2012 as a non-operational vehicle; however, always ran and was started now and again, and never left California. The original owner purchased it from a dealer in the Sacramento, California area in early 1971. I had the license plates refurbished and painted to look new. I do have a color photo copy of the original pink slip with date issued 04/22/1971, that matches the current license plates and VIN. Unfortunately I have no idea what the actual mileage driven is for this car; the Odometer is working and currently reads ±2,600 miles.I had local upholstery professionals install new foam in all of the seats and place brand new upholstery for all of the seats, special ordered to match the year 1969 SST charcoal interior, including new door panels special ordered to match the same. New Pompeii yellow paint to match the stock color. In the last 12 months I have put about 1,000 miles on the car, and the farthest I have driven was about 40 miles each way, with no issues (I have done this ±80 mile round trip to Santa Cruz and back several times). I did place after market adjustable air shock absorbers in the rear, with air lines to an accessible air valve hidden behind the rear license plate so that the height of the rear end can be adjusted very easily. All electrical including both interior and exterior lights, blinkers and the entire dash are working, and all gauges are operating correctly. The windshield wipers are not functioning, I disconnected them as they are vacuum operated and were not functioning when I purchased the car, also the dash clock lights up but does not operate, and the original radio lights up, however does not operate. Both bumpers are original and have never been repaired or re-chromed; however, there are small dents in each bumper, which may be difficult to see from the photos. The passenger side front window glass appears to have been replaced at some point, it is a perfect match, but is not the original California tint option; the rest of the glass on the car is original with the California tinted glass option upon original purchase. This list is everything repaired, replaced and/ or new over the last 2 years:Minor Body Work – 3 stage Paint, Clear Coat and Cut & Polish Carburetor Rebuild (Ole's in San Bruno) Dual Exhaust – Flowmasters (From manifold back) Shock Absorbers – Front & Shock Absorbers - Adjustable Air - Rear Ignition Wires - Spark Plugs - Water Pump - Belt Set - Oil Pump Kit Distributor Cap - Rotor – Distributor - Wire Valve Cover Clips Timing Chain & Gears (Edelbrock) - Timing Chain Cover - Air Filter Bullseye Grille Emblem - AMC Rear Sill Emblem Badge - Javelin 6" Emblems - 290 Emblem x2 - SST x2 Bullseye x2 Emblems - Taillight Lens Emblem - Javelin script - Emblem Clips 2x 15x7 Cragar Magnum 500 Wheels (front) - 2x 15x8 Cragar Magnum 500 Wheels (rear) 1" Bolt-On Wheel Spacers x4 - New Tires - 4x BF Radials - Chrome Valve Stems x4 - Spare Tire Chrome Lug Nuts Acorn x20 - Exterior Bulbs/ Lights - Taillight Lens' RH & LH - Dash Lights Gauge Cluster Refurbished & Tested(Palo Alto Speedometer) Rear Reflector Lens - Parking Light Gaskets - Chrome License Plate Frames - Hood Insulator w/ Clips Trunk Divider Board - Heater Core Hoses - Radiator (AMC Javelin) - Radiator Cap Radiator Hoses - Hose Clamps – Thermostat – Temp Sending Unit Door Weather Strip Seals - Roof Rail Seals - Trunk Seal - Door Fuzzies Left & Right Alternator Rebuild (Ole's in San Bruno) - Starter Motor - Voltage Regulator Ignition Coil - Vacuum Advance Canister - Battery Tray Set – New Battery & Boots Carpet Kit (New to match 1969 Javelin SST Auto) - Interior Floor Insulation Padding Floor Mats (Custom Javelin script) - Master Cylinder - Trunk Mat - Front Spoiler Kit Antenna - Fuel Tank (Inspection, Install, Electrical & Sending Unit) - Fuel Tank Breather Hose Original License Plates – Refurbished - License Plate Nuts - License Plate Screws New Wood Steering Wheel – New Seat Foam – New Seat Upholstery - New Door PanelsRear Main Seal - Motor Mounts - New Spark Plugs, Oil (Racing oil w/ zinc) & Oil Filter **I will also provide the original wood steering wheel, a rebuilt and refurbished 4 barrel Carter carburetor and matching AMC intake manifold, owner’s manual, sales brochure, service manual, electrical diagrams, a brand new car cover (made to fit) and AMC fender gripper.
