1946 CHEVY 1/2 TON SHORT BED Relisted due to winning bidder not reading the entire description, truck does not run. This is a chance to own a solid, and almost complete '46 Chevy pickup. The pictures pretty much tell the condition, there is a small amount of rust in the bottom of the doors as usual on these trucks but it doesn't really take away from the truck as well as a couple other small places but overall it's very solid. The fenders are all very usable, the cab is solid over the windshield, the cab corners and rocker panels are nice, the bedsides are surprisingly straight. The tailgate is a little rough but I think it's useable, there is no bed floor. The previous owner removed the front clip and disassembled a few pieces of the sheet metal around the radiator area, etc. Therefore the hood is not attached and the front clip isn't bolted solid, all of the pieces that were removed are in the floor of the truck. The only thing I see that is missing is the floorboard piece that bolts in which is available aftermarket and the drivers door panel as well as both door glasses. He also removed the components from inside the drivers door but they appear to be all there. It has the original 216 engine and 4 speed transmission, I haven't tried to turn the engine over but I'd guess that it's stuck. There is no title for the truck. This is a hard to find truck and a very solid start for a restoration or rat rod, everyone is wanting these Art Deco '41-'46 Chevy pickups and as you know they are becoming almost impossible to find.
