Overall Condition: Might be the best driving Chevelle Convertible on the Planet!!! It’s what everybody wants now And a Great Investment As Well!!! If you know these Convertible 1970 Chevelle SS’, you know a few important key points… They are Very Hot, Very Collectable, Very RARE, looks great and drives like a dream! I have had so much fun driving this car and would not be afraid to take it anywhere! The engine has the perfect blend of pep, smoothness and throaty sound through the exhaust. Hit the Power Top button, hit the key and take off…it’s that simple. This is a car for shows, cruise-ins, or nice enough to display in a museum or collection. I am the 4th owner of this Chevelle SS with the 1st three owning it 44 years…1st (26 Years), 2nd (18 Years) 3rd (8 Yrs) and me (3 months). My friend was the 3rd owner and had it 8 years and only sold it me so he could purchase another collector car… The 2nd owner was the one that eventually restored it. During the restoration, two new quarter panels were added after the car was completely disassembled and sand blasted as part of a 2 year project. I believe it has always been a Tennessee car as well. Things work as they should including but not limited to Power Top, Headlights/Taillights, back-up lights, Signals, Interior Dash, Gauges, Heat & A/C, Speedometer, Wipers, Horn, Courtesy Lights (under dash, console & glove box), Tilt Wheel, start-up choke, key buzzer, smooth shifting 4-Speed, etc… Is this SS LS5 perfect? No and none of them are… I consider myself very particular and am usually much more critical of the cars in my collection than anyone else but try to be very forth-coming with details. I DO NOT have a build sheet… I have talked with the previous 2 owners and I bought it basically as a matching # LS5 SS frame-off restored convertible but the ONLY WAY to prove its authenticity is to have an original GM Build sheet. As a result of not having the build-sheet, I am not asking $120,000. I am selling it below what clone SS LS5’s are bringing so the buyer is very safe either way. While it looks as if it were restored just a couple of years ago, it is an older restoration which is a plus because the kinks have been worked through. Recently added is a new top, all new A/C components, new brake booster, new printed circuit panel for the dash cluster just button up the few things the car needed. There are a couple of very, very small paint chips that may or may not even show up in the pics but that is really it cosmetically. The Factory AM / FM Stereo is the only thing I can think of that does not work. The car was an early build which is why it does not have the hood pins…they were not standard yet for SS’. If you are looking for a very nice solid restored and believed to be mostly matching and correct with known Tennessee history and is a super driving SS LS5 Convertible, then this is the car for you. Why am I selling it: I am just reducing my collection.. I reserve the right to end this ad early due to having it for sale locally... I am pricing this car to sell and believe it will not last long so, do not hesitate to buy and please do so with absolute confidence! Please have finances in order prior to bidding as well. Purely as a hobby, I have been blessed to sell cars to buyers all over the country and internationally and take tremendous efforts in keeping a 100% feedback…that said, I have tried to be honest and accurate in all descriptions. I encourage however all to inspect this vehicle if possible prior to bidding so that you can confirm my notes above or contact me with any questions at mdescamp@comcast.net or (865) 384-6017. Note: I have a clear Tennessee Title In My Name for my Chevelle…I am not a business and this is a personal collection vehicle. If you are the winning bidder, please expect to send a $2,500 deposit within 72 hours and have plans to pick the car up within 7 days. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I can assist with local direct carriers with both enclosed and open hauling available.
