Vehicle Detail
1962 Pontiac Parisienne (by GM of Canada) This is the exact same body as the Bonneville or Catalina sold in the US however it sits on a complete Chevy drivetrain (from the factory). 9 Passenger Station Wagon When researching the vin number with GM of Canada we determined that this was originally a 9 passenger wagon with the spare tire located in a compartment in the side of the rear portion of the wagon. Unfortunately the seat cushions for the third row seat are no longer with the car. This is a very nice wagon that can be driven anywhere. It shows great and gets more attention at car shows than most sedans and coupes. A real attention getter. Exterior - Burgandy (factor color match) Paint was done in 2010 and is in great condition - not perfect as it has been driven and has a few nics and minor scratches, you really need to look for them to find them. Door jams are original and look great. Chrome is in nice condition but showing wear, it is 52 years old. Does not need to be replaced or re-chromed unless you want a perfect car. Chrome spoke rims have minimal surface rust. All window glass is excellent - Windshield and windshield rubber is new. Interior - Black Upholstery is black and was redone several years back but looks great, no rips or tears. Carpet was also replaced and looks great with the exception of the edge of the kick panels , they have slight wear from feet hitting them when getting in and out of the car. Headliner is near perfect and original, however it does have one rip very close to the back of the wagon and looks like somtthing caught it at some point over its life. (very small 3 inch tear) could be sewn by an upholstery shop. Dash is great, however the metal portion of the dash was never painted black when the interior was done. Sunvisors are excellent, but have not been reinstalled Mechanical This is a great driver that can be driven anywhere, you can buy this car and drive it home. Whats been done: Engine - 327, rebuilt by previous owner and we have only put about 10 thousand miles on it in 4 years Transmission - Powerglide, shifts like it should Brakes - all rebuilt including , wheel cylinders, master cylinder and power brake booster - new Electrical - everything on the car works as it should with the exception of the clock and the reverse lights (needs new reverse light switch) Gauges - all gauges work as they should 1 wire alternator has been installed - new Heavy duty 3 row radiator - runs ice cold in the Florida summer - new Water Pump - new New shocks all the way around - new Tires have approximately 8 thousand miles on them (rear tires are 265/50 and the front are 215/70) give it a nice hotrod look. Gas tank - new Gas tank sending unit (float) - new Starter - new Power steering pump -new Power steering lines - new Suspension Front end needs new tie rod ends, however while looking for the tie rod ends we found a complete front end rebuild kit but have not had it installed THIS GOES WITH THE CAR AND THE DETAILS OF THE KIT ARE INCLUDED BELOW. THIS IS A NEW KIT, AND IT REPLACES THE ORIGINAL SUSPENSION PARTS AS THE CAR CAME FROM THE FACTORY. NEW TIE ROD SLEEVES AND HARDWARE AS REMOVING THE OLD SLEEVES AND REUSING THEM LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED TO HAVE THE LOOK OF A BRAND NEW LOWER SUSPENSION. THE KIT ALSO CONTAINS BOTH THE UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARM BUMPERS AND ARE SIMILAR TO THE CORVETTE BUMPERS FOR BETTER CONTROL. THIS KIT CONTAINS ALL OF THE PIECES BELOW: ***INNER LEFTHAND TIE ROD*** ***INNER RIGHTHAND TIE ROD*** ***OUTER LEFTHAND TIE ROD*** ***OUTER RIGHTHAND TIE ROD*** ***LEFTHAND TIE ROD SLEEVE*** ***RIGHTHAND TIE ROD SLEEVE*** ***LEFTHAND SWAY BAR BOLT*** ***RIGHTHAND SWAY BAR BOLT*** ***LEFTHAND SWAY BAR BUSHINGS*** ***RIGHTHAND SWAY BAR BUSHINGS*** ***SWAY BAR FRAME BUSHING INSULATORS (2 EACH)*** ***LEFTHAND UPPER BALL JOINT*** ***RIGHTHAND UPPER BALL JOINT*** ***LEFTHAND LOWER BALL JOINT*** ***RIGHTHAND LOWER BALL JOINT*** ***LEFTHAND UPPER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS (2 EACH)*** ***RIGHTHAND UPPER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS (2 EACH)*** ***LEFTHAND LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS (2 EACH)*** ***RIGHTHAND LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS (2 EACH)*** ***UPPER CONTROL ARM BUMPERS (2 EACH)*** ***LOWER CONTROL ARM BUMPERS (2 EACH)*** THIS KIT ALSO CONTAINS THE COTTER PINS, RUBBER GREASE SEALS/BOOTS, ZIRC FITTINGS, PLUS THE TIE ROD SLEEVE BOLTS, NUTS, AND CLAMPS.
