Vehicle Detail
A very nice classic airhead, it is mechanically sound and runs excellent. Cosmetics are definitely showing its age since paint and the rest of bike is very original. A few items have been replaced, and missing some original pieces. Frame paint has been touched up in places, appears to have had a fairing and engine protection bars in place at some point, the mounting of these items leave scratches and wear marks. The motorcycle had been stored and not touched for the last few years. Age marks are present, there is almost no corrosion, and spokes show age and some minor rust. The bike received needed mechanical work to bring it back to correct operating condition. The engine runs great and is in very good condition. Includes a new valve job, with new exhaust valves, first over rings, and all the necessary seals and gaskets. A complete tune up included carburetor rebuild with new parts, including floats and diaphragms. New plugs of course, necessary adjustments to all settings and the electronic Dyna ignition. All gaskets and seals were replaced, cylinder head, valve covers, push rod tubes etc. New fluids, and filters throughout. A new Westco AGM battery was installed. Needed is fresh paint, especially the front fender and tank, as can be seen in the pictures. The seat has been recovered. The tires are not new but in good condition with a lot of miles left, no cracks and wear is consistent. New BMW front brakes pads installed. New brake fluid and brakes bled. The bike runs like it should, smooth, quiet, and feels very good overall. The lighting all works, switches work as they should. All instruments work, speedometer, odometer, voltmeter, brake lights, and turn signals. Rear brakes work as well as most airhead drum brakes, and rear spines were cleaned and lubed. There is a Brown side stand. While we cannot assure there are no unknown mechanical issues, the bike runs and handles like it is supposed to and the engine has no leaks. We have included multiple pictures to show as accurately as possible the exact condition of the bike.
