Up for auction is a tan 2001 Dodge Caravan with 173,389 miles on it. This van starts, runs, and drives and was driven about 5 miles from our impound lot to the station without issues. It does have soft brakes. The dash lit up for a minute when it was first started after sitting for a few months and the airbag, brake, abs, and battery lights all came on. All of the instruments jumped up and the speedometer and tachometer flipped all the way over. After driving it a short distance and shutting it off, it was re-started and there were no lights illuminated on the dash but the speedometer and tachometer don't work because they are blocked by the pin from flipping all the way over (see pictures). I didn't have any further issues from the dash lights while it ran for a while. There is an exhaust leak that can be heard. The drivers door power window doesn't work but the passenger side does as do the power rear vent windows. The AC did not blow very cold. The stereo works. There is some body damaged shown in the pictures. The right rear tire had a slow leak. This vehicle was towed into our lot from a traffic stop. As a result, this is all of the information that we have on the mechanical condition of this vehicle.
