Beautiful 1964 Malibu Super Sport Convertible. True SS born Ember Red (Bright Red) with White Top and Bright White Interior, you wont find a more incredible color combination! Gorgeous rust free body, same owner since 1986. Car was completely restored in 1996. At that time, the original 283 engine, powerglide transmission, suspension and rear end were all rebuilt. In addition, the brakes, dash bezels, re-chromed bumpers, complete interior, including seat upholstery, door panels, carpet, arm rest pads and bases, convertible top and all wiring harnesses were replaced. This stunning Malibu SS started life in Western Kansas and was brought to Southern Colorado in 1986 by the owner that owned it for the last 28 years. Car runs and drives fantastic, most all of the trim and emblems are original to the car. Beautiful bucket seats and chrome console. Very nice glass, new weather stripping was also installed in 1996. windows all roll up and down as they should and all electrical is in excellent working condition. Car has been driven less than 5,000 miles since 1996, mainly used for car shows and an occasional Sunday drive to keep in good running condition. Tires are like new and the car still has it's orignal wheels and SS Wheel Covers. Top is in great condition and is manually operated, a white boot is also included. This is one super solid, laser straight, stunning True SS Ragtop! Look at the photos! This car runs like a top and sounds great, a lot of fun to drive. All photos were just taken on April 18th, 2014. When the car was restored in 1996 the body shop lost the metal VIN tag on the door jamb so it was issued an assigned VIN by the state of Colorado in 1996. I have a copy of the Kansas Title showing the original VIN and it matches the number on the frame and on the trunk lip.
