Vehicle Detail

____________________________________________ ____________________________________________ This classic "woodie" wagon is an unrestored survivor. The car starts easy after being in storage over the winter. This wagon cruises down the road like it’s on a cloud. Engine runs very nice and smooth. Engine is the 352-2VCruise-O-Matic (3-speed) automatic transmission Windshield washer and 2-speed wipers Kleenix dispenser Power tailgate window Power Steering Power Brakes AM radio 100% of the interior is original. The headliner and padded sunvisors are in great shape. The dash pad, door panels and seats are in great shape. The original third seat is there and in great shape. (Hard to find) The cargo area flooring is also in great shape. The carpet is a little worn and faded. 100% of the “wood” trim is original. (It’s actually fiberglass) The dark wood decals are original although faded. 99% of the paint is original and it still shines All of the glass is original Radial tires all around (2 are new) Single exhaust is good Brakes are good 114,000+ miles The engine is original and has had the usual items replaced over time such as water pump, fuel pump, spark plugs and spark plug wires, etc. The oil and filter were changed every 3,000 miles since I’ve owned it. The engine compartment could use a good cleaning and detailing. The light colored trim is still in very nice shape although in spots it is deteriorating. The clear lacquer has come off of most of the dark decals and they’ve faded away. The rear bumper is dented but not awful. The body is pretty solid but does have some rust issues. The inside cargo area floor right behind the wheel wells has rusted through. The left quarter panel has some rust (see pictures). The right quarter panel has a little bit of rust in the back corner and a little bit of bubbling in the front corner. The bottoms of the doors are real nice. The floorboards are solid. The chrome is very nice. There were 19,246 9-passenger Country Squires produced for the 1963 Model year. The car is stored in my attached garage during our Wisconsin winter. A couple of weeks ago I decided to start the car after four full months of sitting. I did not charge the battery (it still has the original cables). From outside the open car window, I reached into the car and turned the key. Thirty seconds later it started and idled smoothly. That’s how easy and nice this car starts and runs. You will be proud driving this fine car to a show or cruise night. I’ve owned this car since 1990 and driven it almost 30,000 miles to many car shows including hundreds of miles to shows out of state. This is a very nice unrestored survivor that I enjoyed and drove just as it is. I could have restored it with the correct woodgrain trim and decals from a place here in Wisconsin but I chose to keep it as is. After all, it’s only original once and to restore it would not make it a survivor any longer. I could only upload 12 pictures. The door panels and the bottoms of the doors are all in the same shape. The cargo area surface is as nice as that on the tailgate. The 3rd seat is as nice as the other seats. The cargo area floor rust is the same for both sides. If you would like to see more pictures please feel free to ask. Buyer must pick up or arrange and pay for shipping. A nonrefundable deposit of $500.00 must be made through PayPal within 3 days of auction end. A nonrefundable bank to bank wire transfer deposit of $2,000.00 must be made by the Thursday after the auction ends and the balance paid with another bank to bank wire transfer when the car is picked up and before the title is handed over to the new owner. The car must be picked up no later than 2 weeks after the auction ends. The bid price is the final and agreed to price. Car is sold as is.
