Up for auction is our 1948 Willys CJ2A. When we got the Willys it had a 1950's F-head engine in it, which required an ugly hood scoop. I purchased a correct flat-head engine for it, had the engine rebuilt (new bearings, oil pump, etc.), new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, new carb, trans seals, etc. Much nicer. Car runs, drives and stops, though only to 1948 levels. It is a cool little vehicle and fun to putt around in, but not something to take out on a highway. The body looks all of its 66 years (dents and rust), but the dark spots in the pictures are not rust but from where I pressure washed the paint off down to the primer. I do have another body tub (rough but not patched), fenders and hood for the Willys, which I will sell cheap if you win the auction. We can discuss it. Clear Texas title in my name.
