Vehicle Detail

Offered for sale is my 2003 BMW R1200CLC touring cruiser in metallic silver. The bike is loaded with extras and is in fantastic shape. She's never been dropped and has no major mechanical issues to my knowledge. If you are looking for a reliable cruiser that can comfortably accommodate you and your 2-up passenger for hours at a time, this is the real deal. I would characterize this bike as a mature person's comfort-before-speed tourer. The bike has a 1200cc oil-cooled engine that is geared for cruising speeds. If hitting 130 or doing burnouts is your thing, then you are likely looking at the wrong machine. If you picture yourself taking long country rides, or cross-country rides, then you're in the right place. This bike has roughly 37,xxx miles and has been well maintained throughout its life. It has been ridden cross-country, it has been through Canada, and it has ridden the tail of the Dragon. I am the second owner. I bought it in 2006 from a retiree in Dayton, Ohio who had just taken delivery of a new Goldwing. Mechanically the bike has been solid. The stock fuel injector couplers went bad once. They are plastic and eventually give in to vibration. I replaced them with the BMW recommended nickel couplers. Easy fix. Won't happen again. It had a clutch replacement in 2012. No oil leaks to speak of. The paint is all original and garage kept with only one or two very minor scratches, none noticeable from more than 5 feet away. The features of this bike include, ABS, electronic cruise control, BMW servo-assisted, dual integrated brakes, AMFM cd player with MP3-in and upgraded fairing-mounted Alpine speakers, chrome engine and hard bag protection bars, tall windshield, RAM dashboard and accessory mounting system, BMW VOICE intercom system, Kuryakyn road pegs, Ztechnik chrome luggage rack with LED brake lights, BMW CB radio, heated grips, heated seats, heel/toe shifter, and more. The riding position is relaxed. Not as upright as say a K1200, but not as slumped as most Harley cruisers. I am 6'7" tall and part of the reason I selected this motorcycle is because I can comfortably sit all day on her. I am giving her up due to the fact that my riding buddies have had kids or moved away, and I just don't find myself riding that much anymore. I am not planning on getting another motorcycle, so I'm throwing in a RAM gps holder and Garmin GPS (not a motorcycle specific GPS), an Air Hawk air seat, a battery tender (that the bike is currently hooked up to while she winters in the garage), custom bag/trunk liners, a Marsee magnetic tank bag, and a few other misc. goodies. Happy shopping.
