Vehicle Detail
I bought this as my first "real bike" in 2001, and a few years ago I upgraded. So I'm selling this bike. It's in good condition. The seat has some small tears, which could easily be patched. I replaced front and back tires in 2012, so they both have a lot of tread. Chain is in good condition; I regularly lubed it and checked chain tension. Otherwise, this bike is in good condition. It was kept indoors from 2001 to 2003, kept outdoors from 2003 to 2007, and kept indoors from 2007 to present. Because it was kept outdoors for a few years, it has some road dust on it, but that's only cosmetic. This bike has been ridden responsibly, and has never been down. I've included close-up photos of both sides of the engine / body, so you can see for yourself. I'm throwing in all my old accessories: Tour Master saddle bags and matching top bag. The top bag locks onto the saddle bags. They're in good condition, and all three have rain covers included.Tank bag, with clear plastic top, usually for putting in directions.Trickle-charger. I replaced the battery in 2012, and have kept it on a trickle-charger whenever it is not in use. I added quick-connect leads to the battery, so you can easily connect/disconnect the charger. I added a center-stand, after I bought this bike. This makes it easier to rotate the rear wheel, lube the chain, etc. Bike runs great. Like all carb bikes, it takes a few minutes to warm up on chilly days, but that's what the choke is for. Overall, this has been a great bike, especially as a first "real" bike. I've ridden this thing across the country, and it is reliable and handles well. It is not a high-performance bike, although it does have plenty of power for riding on highways, merging, etc. It corners nicely, although this is not the bike you want to take to the track. This is a good "all-around" bike.
