MERCEDES BENZ SL CLASS - 1981 380 SL Convertible Roadster Less than 3710 miles since major mechanical work completed, Current mileage 175,722 mi, New Long Block installed April 2003 @ 171,812 mi. Mechanical work done on the car in 2003 include the new long block (block, heads & crank & pistons), complete brake job, exhaust system, and A/C converted from R12 to R134. I purchased the car in August 2005 for my wife with plans to complete the cosmetic restoration. Now due to our health and the loss of my storage facility I’m forced to sell. Car is located in central Florida near Daytona Beach This car runs and drives Great, mechanically it is in very good condition For the age of the car the Paint and Body is in good shape especially when you consider no cosmetic restoration has been done. Interior is in good condition and includes rear seats, but does show some wear and tear especially on the driver’s seat. Original Carpets are in great shape with minimal minor stains. Includes Two tops, both soft and hard. The black German Canvas Soft Top is in fair condition and will need to be replaced eventually because of some small tears. The matching factory removable Hardtop some rust issues on bottom side of mounting surface. The tires are matching Kumho with like new tread remaining; mounted on Factory alloy wheels. It has its share of minor chips, scratches, etc, mostly items you would see on any car this age Dead Battery (needs new battery) A/C works and blows cold but only thru defrost vents Transmission shifter needs cable adjustment, works but is loose\sloppy Weather stripping around convertible top storage cover is damaged Electric antenna not working I am the owner of the car and I am not a dealer.
