Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1977 Chevy Camaro Type LT that has been altered by Hurst. The Hurst package was dealer-added. This package included the Hurst Hatch t-tops, gold headlight trim, gold grills, gold gauge bezel trim, and gold door panel trim. I bought the car from the second owner, who bought it in 1979 with 3,000 miles. The car also came with Hooker brand (like the headers) rear spoiler and fender flares. The car also came with "Trans Am" style pinstriping. The car still has its original black paint and has black vinyl interior. The engine is the original 305 V8 that hasn't had any alterations made to it. I haven't attempted to start it, but it turns over by hand. The transmission is an automatic TH350 with a factory GM slap shifter. It has a gauge cluster with a tachometer and full gauges (no dummy lights). It still has all of the factory air conditioning parts, but the compressor is locked up. The body is in need of repair. The quarters, fenders, doors, and floors need work. The quarters and floors need to be replaced, but the doors could probably be repaired. The rear frame rails are still in good shape. The car has never had body work done to it, so it has no bondo. I haven't been able to find another Hooker rear spoiler or fender flares for sale anywhere. The spoiler is usable, but the flares may not be. All lights, headlight trim, and front header panel is in good shape. The lower belly panel has some cracks, so do the grills. The hood and roof has some light hail damage. The interior needs work, but is mostly there. It has black interior, which is highly sought after. It is missing a some small pieces. It comes with the original steering column and wheel with the Type LT horn button. It has a different one in there right now, because the last owner lost the keys to the car. I also do not have the trunk key. The front seats are out of a Mustang, but I have Camaro seats available for an additional price. The interior has a lot of usable parts, such as the hard plastic parts. The lower dash hasn't been cut up for an aftermarket radio. This would be a great car to restore, because so few were made. I was going to use it for a parts car, but because of the rarity and the fact that the frame isn't rotten, I would rather sell it whole. Included in the pictures are photos of what the car use to look like and an options sheet that came from the dealer that the last owner bought it from. The car had over $3,000 worth of added options. The car has about 157,000 miles on the clock and is about 95% complete and very original. I haven't been able to find another 77 Camaro that has been altered by Hurst for sale. If you have any questions about the car, you can email me at herrickjeff1@gmail.com. It is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction. It will be sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Please do not bid if you don't plan on purchasing it. The vehicle does not come with the wheels pictured or the brown steering wheel. It will come with the original black steering wheel and I will include different wheels. Thank you.
