My wife and I have decided to sell our 1967 Sunbeam Alpine Series 5. We have no room for it and rarely drive it so we would like to see it go to a good home. This is a very solid car, and much has been done to it. A new good quality paint job was done in the original Carnival Red, new top, new seat covers , carpet, and a host of mechanicals too numerous to mention , were done. It was originally a barn find that was kept in indoor storage for many years. It was revived by installing a new fuel pump, battery, valve job, ( now compression is 160 across all four cylinders), draining old gas, etc. It still has the original Winston tires that were on it. We decided to keep them as the are in surprisingly excellent almost unused condition. All the electrics, brakes, trans, clutch, gauges all work. It could still use a better tune up (probably carb rebuild) so it will run smoother beyond idle. The rubber around the windscreen is also dried and cracked. This is basically a very solid driver you can take to your local car show, and would take little to bring it to the next level, if desired.It is not a perfect car or concourse but is a very good quality driver and better than the vast majority you will see. It is complete with no missing trim and all trim in is good driver condition. This is the final production year for this car as there is a Chrysler Pentastar emblem on the right wing, when The company was bought by Chrysler. Inspections are welcome but must be carried out prior to auction end.Any transport is to be paid by buyer although we can help with arrangements I will end the auction if it sells locally without notice.
