I am relisting this 1959 rock solid California car that I bought 100 complete with the idea of a restoring. The first four pictures show the car as it was being shipped to me. As you will see the car has the large window Hardtop and is free from rust and was a great car to begin a complete restoration with. I bought this incredibly solid car and have disassembled and have had the seats redone in leather from Geman Auto Tops in California as well as all new carpets, new leather on the dashboard, glove box, new leather door panels and at base of the dashboard, and the keinzel clock rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedometer, I have all new NOS eyebrows and side trim, the bumpers have been re-chromed by one of the finest chrome shops on the east coast. There is a new nos heater box, all new cables for the heater and new tail lenses and bezels. I have the real Mercedes Benz 190 SL PARTS manual and the 190 SL shop manual complete. I have the owners manual and other documentation. This car was disassembled and all parts have been stored in boxes and after paint this car would not take a lot to put back together. I have the original tool kit which is in concours shape and 100 percent complete. Please look closely at the pictures and see how clean this car really is. In the trunk area the wheel wells are rock solid and original. The only part that I do not have for this car is the grille surround around the star and barrel. Look at the shock towers and you will see how this vehicle has not been altered or molested. The solex carburetors have been rebuilt and at the time I took them off the engine ran well and a compression test revealed that the compression was even in all four cylinders. Although I encourage and recommend a personal inspection, I am not afraid to sell this car sight unseen. If you would like any specific pictures please make the request and I will be happy to take them. The vehicle is located in a climate controlled warehouse in Southern New Jersey below Atlantic City. If you are looking to purchase a worthwhile 190 sl that has not been molested this is the one that you want. There are so many other parts that I have that will be going with his car as well. Injury to my back causes the sale of this fantastic car and someone will end up with a real winner.
