This 1974 Saab Sonnet is a well running 1.7 liter V-4 engine that is all original. Unlike many Sonnets, this one is registered, reliable, and in running, drivable condition. The engine and drive train are in good working condition. I am selling it because I am moving and don’t have a good place to store it going forward. Drive train: Good working condition. Engine is solid and smooth; transmission was completely rebuilt 2 year ago, with a new clutch, pressure plate and TO bearing. The transmission makes some minor pinion noise in 4th gear, which is quite common, but causes no harm. Body mechanical: New front pads and rotors and 4 new shocks. Paint: Good condition with Original factory color. The right hand door and quarter were repainted at one time. Body: Good condition, both rockers, floor and rear trunk are solid, except for some minor surface rust on the front wheel wells. The fiberglass is solid without any visible cracks; there are a few minor body chips, one on edge of front bonnet. Interior: Normal condition for age of vehicle. All windows and doors are functional. Rear hatch shocks are weak in cold weather. Electrical: Everything needed to legally operate the vehicle is completely functional. Odometer works and has ~ 48000 miles. Original AM/FM radio works and has rear speakers in rear panel below hatch. This vehicle is in nice condition and you can drive is without performing any major work and fun a great time driving it this summer.
