RARE 1964 Ford Falcon RANCHERO FACTORY BUILT DSO: V8 / 4-SPEED / SPOTLIGHT ****BUILT as a DEALER SPECIAL ORDER (DSO) Custom Equipped Ranchero 1 of 1 SURVIVOR… the only known 1964 Ranchero that is a Factory equipped V-8 & 4-speed Ranchero with the rare drivers side Spotlight/Mirror … DSO custom order option rarely seen on any Ranchero! Factory V8, 4-Speed Rancheros are rare enough on their own, with estimates of less than a few hundred even remaining. HP “Pro-Stock” Vintage 289 4V - V8 THIS RARE Ranchero is now equipped with a 1965 Vintage “K-Code” Ford HP 289 – 4 V. I have all the receipts for this low mileage professional rebuild. It includes a Vintage WIEAND dual plane Aluminum Intake Manifold, Ford HP 4V C5 carb, custom curved distributor with electronic Perlux Ignitor, Jacobs Wires & Jacobs Coil. Elgin PRO-STOCK HP289 Cam installed. HEADERS & FREE FLOW DUAL EXHAUST. Polished FORD Aluminum valve covers & HP breathable air cleaner assembly.Newer radiator, battery, hoses, belts, etc. Excellent GT Radial Tires 215/60 15, plus matching new spare aluminum wheel & tire.NEW PAINT during restorations of this rare Ranchero, we went down to bare metal, and pulled the carpet & interior out. The original base color we found was a darker blue- green, not a normal Ford line color. Since this was such a rare car, we wanted to do it honor by selecting a similar color & beautiful Deep Show Quality 1964 FORD Color, Pacific Blue Metallic ...done in quality 2-stage paint with clear coat. This color also was appropriate as this rust free Ranchero has spent most of its life in the San Diego area of California, next to the Pacific Ocean.CUSTOM INTERIOR Time was taken to paint match dash, side window molding & trims, back seat window trims in the Pacific Blue Metallic color. CUSTOM SHOW CAR UPHOLSTERY SHOP done factory split bench seat, thick 2 toned & textured black, custom silver piping. New OEM 4-speed 80/20 black loop padded carpet, new door panels, new black headliner installed with new black sun visors.OTHER NOTES & RESTORATIONS: Both front & rear bumpers triple plate re-chromed to show quality. NOS rare option Tail lenses & NOS bucket gaskets. As a Special Order model, this Ranchero was never drilled out for side moulding or trims, very clean lines. Since this Ranchero is so clean without lots of ornaments, I also chose to paint out the side bed trim to match, keep the lines of this Ranchero flowing. I wanted the rare chrome spotlight option to also stand out and be noticed! I replaced the V8 side markers, showing the factory order 260 V8. These are easily changed to show the 289 V8. I prefer the Muscle Car sound & performance of the “HP-Built” 289-4V over the factory 260-2V … but if you desire the correct 1964 260 V8 can be included with the sale of this Rare Ranchero. This is a factory 5-lug wheel V8 equipped Ranchero. This Ranchero ALSO came with the rarer FACTORY BACK-UP Lights option.**DSO / DATA PLATE: To make this vehicle even more unique, as DSO vehicle, it came with NO Paint Code on the Vehicle DATA Plate; photo upon request. I have only seen this on one other Falcon in my travels! The spotlight mirror was a factory option so could be ordered on any Falcon model”…but again, VERY RARE OPTION!
