‘56 Ford Fairlane 2 door project: Clean Title. I bought the 56 from a restoration shop when they got too busy to finish. It has been media blasted, body rust repaired and painted with epoxy primer. I chose this one because the body is ready to go back together, a great starting point for restoration or street rod. The body just needs final prep and paint. There is no engine, it was a “Y” block which froze and cracked during winter. The rest of the power train is there from bell housing to rear end. The trans is 3 on the tree. It has all of the clutch linkage, “Z” bar type, easily adapted to 302 or 351w. Most of the bits and pieces are in boxes, did not find head lights. Steering is tight & responsive won’t require upgrade. This car is for sale only because I acquired a 49 Ford coupe and don’t have the time & space for 2 projects. On Apr-08-14 at 17:01:42 PDT, seller added the following information: it has come to my attention that there is rust at the bottom of the right side A pillar. The area is small & has not impaired the structure of the pillar. Both doors are solid as are the hinge attaching points.
