THE PAINT IS A VERY HIGH QUALITY WITH 8 COATS OF CLEAR THAT GIVE A VERY DEEP SHINY HIGH GLOSS FINISHED PRODUCT THAT WAS WET SANDED AND BUFFED TO A GLASS SMOOTH FINISH. EVERY INNER AND OUTER PANEL, JAMBS AND NOOK N CRANNYS WERE PREPPED AND SPRAYED WITH FRESH PAINT SO THERE WERE NO SHORT CUTS DONE AND EVERY PLACE YOU LOOK YOU FIND NICE CLEAN GLOSSY PAINT . THIS TRULY IS A GORGEOUS ONE OF A KIND CLASSIC. BODY- AS MENTIONED ABOVE THIS IS A FRESHLY DONE CAR THAT HAS A NEARLY FLAWLESS PAINT AND BODY. THE BODY WORK, PREP AND PAINT QUALITY WAS DONE AT A HIGH LEVEL WITH NO IMPERFECTIONS, FISH EYES, DUST OR ELEMENTS IN THE PAINT AND ALL ORANGE PEEL HAS BEEN WET SANDED AND BUFFED TO A DEEP HIGH GLOSS FINISH THAT MAKES THIS LITTLE 230 LOOK LIKE IT WAS JUST DIPPED IN PAINT!! THE BODY IS 100% RUST, DENT AND DING FREE THAT WAS THE PERFECT CANVAS FOR THIS GREAT LOOKING COLOR COMBO. AFTER THE PAINT WORK WAS DONE ALL THE RUBBER SEALS AROUND THE FRONT AND REAR GLASS WERE REPLACED WITH NEW SEALS WHEN THE GLASS WENT IN, THE INNER WINDOW AND DOOR MECHANISMS WERE RESTORED TO WORK SEAMLESSLY AND THE DOORS GOT NEW RUBBER WINDOW SWEEPS, FELTS IN THE INNER WINDOW CHANNEL AND ALL NEW WEATHER STRIPPING AROUND THE DOOR JAMB INTERIOR AREA. THEN IT CAME TIME FOR THE TRIM, CHROME , LIGHTS AND BUMPERS. ALL THE CHROME AND TRIM WAS REPLACED WITH THE ORIGINAL PIECES FROM THE CAR OR WERE REPLACED WITH NICER OEM PIECES FROM ANOTHER PARTS SOURCE. EVERY CHROME, TRIM AND PLASTIC LENSES WAS POLISHED OUT AND LOOK EXCELLENT, BUT THEY WERE NOT REPLACED WITH NEW OR RE-CHROMED. ALL LENSES ARE FULL OF COLOR AND DEPTH THAT SHOW VERY WELL ALONG WITH ALL THE CHROME, WHICH ARE RUST FREE PIECES THAT SPARKLE AND STILL RETAIN THAT NICE DEEP REFLECTION EXCEPT ON THE REAR BUMPER THAT DOES HAVE A HAZY AGED LOOK IN SOME AREAS. THIS WAS DRIVEN ON NICE DAYS BY THE OWNER AFTER THE CAR WAS FINISHED LAST YEAR AND IT HAS ACQUIRED A COUPLE VERY SMALL CHIPS ON TOP OF DRIVER FENDER, DRIVER DOOR EDGES WHERE THE TWO DOORS MEET AND ON BOTTOM OF THE TWO RIGHT REAR DOOR EDGES. THIS IS A VERY BRIGHT AND CRISP LOOKING CAR THAT WAS TASTEFULLY DONE. INTERIOR- EXCELLENT LOOKING INTERIOR THAT IS A MIX OF RESTORED AND ORIGINAL THAT NOW HAS THAT NEW INTERIOR SMELL. WITH THE MIX OF THIS CLEAN BLACK INTERIOR THE REFLECTION OF THAT BEAUTIFUL GLOSSY BLUE ON THE HOOD MAKES FOR VERY ENJOYABLE AND RELAXING DRIVES. NEW CARPET, HEADLINER, RE-DONE ORIGINAL SEATS, RESTORED INNER TRUNK WITH MATCHING ORIGINAL SPARE, REPLACED RUBBER DOOR AND WINDOW SEALS. THE SUN VISORS ARE ORIGINAL ALONG WITH THE DOOR PANELS AND DASH THAT HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND TOUCHED UP IN SOME AREAS. THE INTERIOR DOOR MECHANISMS WERE GREASED AND RESTORED SO ALL DOORS LOCK EASILY, WINDOWS GLIDE UP AND DOWN WITH NO BINDING ISSUES AND BOTH FRONT FLY WINDOWS OPEN AND CLOSE SMOOTHLY WITH JUST A TWIST OF THE FACTORY CIRCULAR KNOB. ALL LIGHTS, CRYSTAL CLEAR GAUGES AND ELECTRICAL SWITCHES HAVE BEEN ATTENDED TO AND MADE TO WORK PROPERLY. ALL 4 DOORS SHUT LIKE A HAND CRAFTED LUXURY BRIEFCASE AND GIVE THAT BEAUTIFUL VAULT LIKE SOUND ONCE PUSHED SHUT. ONLY ITEMS LEFT TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL IS THE RUBBER TRUNK SEAL HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED YET, THERE IS NO STEREO, THE ODOMETER DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK, BUT THE SPEEDOMETER WORKS PERFECTLY, THE DOOR PANELS AND DASH ARE TOUCHED AND CLEANED ORIGINALS SO THEY DO HAVE SOME MARKS OR WEAR THAT CAN BE SEEM, BUT DO NOT TAKE AWAY FROM THIS INTERIOR BY ANY MEANS. THIS 230'S INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE THAT ALLOWS FOR COMFORTABLE AND PLEASURABLE RIDES. MECHANICAL- THIS SOLID LITTLE 230 GIVES A IMPRESSIVE RIDE AND DRIVE QUALITY ESPECIALLY FOR BEING A 48 YEAR OLD CLASSIC. THIS CAR IS AS TIGHT AS A DRUM THAT ABSOLUTELY DRIVES PERFECT AND THERE IS NOT ONE THING THAT COULD BE DONE OR REPLACED TO MAKE FOR A BETTER OR MORE ENJOYABLE RIDE. THIS MERCEDES DOES NOT GIVE THAT STRESSFUL UNRELIABLE OLD CAR FEEL AND ONLY ALLOWS FOR EASY RELAXING AND DEPENDABILITY. THE MOTOR HAS MANUAL CHOKE THAT ALWAYS ALLOWS FOR QUICK COLD START FIRE UPS AND THE FUEL PUMP HAS A REPLACEMENT ELECTRICAL PUMP THAT IS ALSO LINKED INTO THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH FOR THEFT SAFETY SO THE LIGHT WITCH HAS TO BE TURNED TO JUST MARKER LIGHT OR TURNED FULLY ON TO GET FUEL PUMP ACTIVATED. I drive all cars at least 50 miles on the hwy and in city to get the fluids warm and everything working. I then check all electrical items,lights pwr motors,. etc. I park the vehicles and let them sit minimum of 30 minutes and check for any fluid leaks on the ground. THE BODY WORK, PREP AND PAINT QUALITY WAS DONE AT A HIGH LEVEL WITH NO IMPERFECTIONS, FISH EYES , DUST OR ELEMNTS IN THE PAINT AND ALL ORANGE PEEL HAS BEEN WET SANDED AND BUFFED TO A DEEP HIGH GLOSS FINISH THAT MAKES THIS LITTLE 230 LOOK LIKE IT WAS JUST DIPPED IN WET PAINT. IN PAINT!! THE BODY IS 100% RUST, DENT AND DING FREE BODY THAT WAS THE PERFECT CANVAS FOR THIS GREAT LOOKING COLOR COMBO. AFTER THE PAINT WORK WAS DONE ALL THE RUBBER SEALS AROUND THE FRONT AND REAR GLASS WAS REPLACED WITH NEW SEALS WHEN THE GLASS WENT IN, THE INNER WINDOW AND DOOR MECHANISMS WERE RESTORED TO WORK SEAMLESSLY AND THE DOORS GOT NEW RUBBER WINDOW SWEEPS, FELTS IN THE INNER WINDOW CHANNEL AND ALL NEW WEATHER STRIPPING AROUND THE DOOR JAB INTERIOR AREA. THEN IT CAME TIME FOR THE TRIM, CHROME , LIGHTS AND BUMPERS. ALL LENSES ARE FULL OF COLOR AND DEPTH THAT SHOW VERY WELL ALONG WITH ALL THE CHROME THAT ARE RUST FREE PIECES THAT SPARKLE AND STILL RETAIN THAT NICE DEEP REFLECTION EXCEPT ON THE REAR BUMPER THAT DOES HAVE A HAZY AGED LOOK IN SOME AREAS. ALL LIGHTS, CRYSTAL CLEAR GAUGES AND ELECTRICAL SWITCHES HAVE BEEN ATTENDED TO AND MADE TO WORK PROPERLY. ALL 4 DOORS SHUT LIKE A HAND CRAFTED LUXURY BRIEFCASE AND GIVE THAT BEAUTIFUL VAULT LIKE SOUND ONCE PUSHED SHUT. I then check all electrical items,lights pwr motors,. etc. I park the vehicles and let them sit minimum of 30 minutes and check for any fluid leaks on the ground. If anything does not work properly I will let you know. Of course I am only human and these are mechanical creatures and these are used vehicles, so please keep this in mind when bidding. This auction is a legal contract and a $350 deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due within 5 days of end of auction. Out of state buyers have a $110 Document Handling Fee. This fee helps cover the expense of paper work involved back and forth, a $83 out of state title fee I have to pay, and a 30 day temporary tag that will also be provided. This fee applies to all buyers, including other dealers. In state buyers have to pay all state license and sales tax of 8.9% of the sale price, and a $65 document fee
