This auction is for a 1997 Jeep Cherokee, clear title. I am selling this vehicle for parts, although I just took it off the road due to unemployment and because I couldn't afford insurance - so it could possibly be put back on the road with a little work. 142,373 miles, which isn't very many miles for a jeep! 4 wheel drive works well, tranny and motor strong, runs well. Straight 6, 4 liter. The only reason I am selling this is because it is very rusty!! I would love to keep driving it, because it runs so well and goes ANYWHERE! The motor, 4 wheel drive and transmission are well worth the price on their own. Oil changed regularly since I've had it. The interior in good condition. No rips, holes, etc. Needs a good cleaning, though! Passenger seat is slightly stained, but nothing that won't come out with a little scrubbing. Also stained carpet on the drivers side between where your feet go and the console, but that will also come out with a good scrubbing. I haven't cleaned or detailed the jeep in a while! Back hatch and back rear passenger door does not open. Never really tried to get them open, but I'm sure someone with knowledge could figure it out. Inspection good til next year, however, the check engine light IS on. Recently replaced back leaf springs. If you were going to put it back on the road, it would definitely need rear shocks and an exhaust...exhaust as of now is rigged up so it wasn't too loud, which worked for me! Was going to replace it before I lost my job. Front passenger window does sometimes get stuck down - if rolled all the way down. (Electric windows, though.) Easily put back up if need be. Also needs front tires, and there is no spare tire. There is also a small crack in the windshield on the passenger side but had no problem seeing or getting it inspected. I would just sell the engine, transmission, and 4 wheel drive, but want to save myself the time and aggravation of getting them removed by selling the whole thing, so I will not be parting this out!!
