This is a RARE find... RUST FREE 1978 GMC Sierra Grande K15 4X4 Short bed with factory A/C, factory 400 small block, auto trans ( ALL factory options are still listed on the build sheet in the glove box ) This truck has been an ongoing project for about 7 years. The drive train was all rebuilt in 2007 and has only been driven about 3000 miles since. The factory 400 engine was rebuilt using the stock block and heads. It was topped off with an Edelbrock RPM intake and Edelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke and a set of long tube headers. The TH350 transmission was also rebuilt at that same time. The engine, transmission and transfer case all work as they should. The front hubs are manual locking by Warn. The 4WD works great, although this truck has NOT been abused or even used off road! During the process of rebuilding the drive train, the truck also got a 4 inch rough country suspension lift with all new leaf springs, shocks and all new body bushings. Front and rear drive shafts were rebuilt and balanced. All the steering components, ball joints, tie rods, drag links, pitman arm and steering stabilizer were replaced along with all new brake pads and rotors on the front and new shoes and drums in the rear. The body, paint, and interior was all redone about 3 months ago. The fenders, doors and bed where all removed from the truck. All door jams, back sides of fenders, back side of cab, and front of the bed where all painted while apart. The inside of the bed has a spray in liner. The inner fender wells were replaced on both sides and painted gloss black. The interior paint was left original but is in very good shape as you can see from the pictures. All the exterior trim is new including body side trim, fender moldings, headlamp bezels, head lamps, side marker lamp lens, tail light lens, etc. The grill and bumpers are original but in excellent condition. All glass was removed from the cab and doors. The windshield and back glass are brand new. Every piece of weather stripping is new as well. The interior has a brand new dash pad, bezels, sun visors, seat cover, carpet and door panels as well as the arm rest, pull straps and trim pieces. We also installed all new window regulators, door locks, and new door strikers. Inside the dash is a brand new pioneer stereo unit with Bluetooth, which is also Pandora radio and Sirius XM ready. The tilt steering column was rebuild and we installed a new lock cylinder. Most parts of the A/C system where replaced and it has been converted over to R134. The heat works great and all the slide controls work as they should. All of the vents open and shut like they should as well. To finish the truck off, I just installed 4 brand new 33x12.5x15 Maxxis buckshot MT tires on new American racing aluminum rims. I am sure there is a lot more stuff I am missig as far as whats been replaced... But I do have all receipts for everything that has been done since the project was started.
