A wonderful example of a 1968 280 SE Cabriolet. I have had the pleasure of owning this car for the past 6 years and it is now time to part with it. I have sold my 1957 Porsche Speedster, and am putting up this stunning 290 as well as a 1959 190 SL. This car was recently looked at by a local renowned Mercedes Benz expert and his comments were that this car has led a very sheltered life. Since my custodianship started 6 years this car has never seen rain, and has been stored in a climate controlled warehouse along with 12 other classic cars. This car was lovingly cared for by its previous owner who was a banker caught up in the 2008 financial meltdown. He told me he bought the car from the original owner in Atlanta Georgia. The car drives beautifully and all features work. I have a copy of the build sheet from Mercedes Benz Classic in California and all numbers and options are a match. If you are looking for a straight 280 SE that has not been molested and or modified over the years this is one that you should look at. The car is located in Southern New Jersey and I welcome and encourage inspections by any prospective buyer along with his or her mechanic and appraiser..
