We are offering this numbers matching Targa for sale for the first time since the original family purchased it new in 1971.

Our shop performed a thorough inspection including a compression test at the time of consignment. All cylinders measure 170-175psi. The 901 gearbox shifts nicely with the addition of a new shift bushing. The clutch assembly was replaced at 74k miles by our shop. At the same time we performed an oil service, replaced the batteries, belt, oil lines, muffler gasket and a hot air hose. After sitting the last year on a battery tender, 2 of the brake calipers were sticking. We rebuilt all 4 and performed an oil service

Recently, the car was cosmetically restored. The paint was stripped to bare metal and resprayed in it's original Light Ivory. At this time new all new weatherstrip and gaskets were installed to the trim and glass. New correct carpets were installed and the front seats were reupholstered in Tan Leatherette. The engine, gearbox, dash, gauges, wheels, tool kit, door panels, floor pan, battery boxes, targa top, muffler skirt, Blaupunkt radio, rear seats and parcel shelf have been represented to us as original. All body panels are original

Factory air conditioning was fitted to this car, however the compressor and blower have been removed and boxed up, but they are included. The owners booklet & maintenance book (with a few stamps) are included. Our inspection report is available
