LAST LAST CHANCE THIS CAR WILL GO AWAY. very rare unmolested car. bought from a vega guru of the 80s. he would get salvaged cars and rebuild them. this one is also salvage title. he rebuilt the motor with new sleeves and used a technique of porting the water jacket between number 2 and 3 cylinder, this eliminated the overheating problem. i commuted 160 miles round trip twice weekly for eight months with this car and had no problems. this car sat for 15 years before i got it i replaced the ignition system and rebuilt the carb, cleaned the fuel tank and bypassed fuel lines with new rubber line, left old fuel lines in place so it can be cleaned and used again. did a quick paint job to prevent any rusting, needs to be finished if you want does not look too bad it was sprayed not rattle canned, half gallon of same color goes with the car. pictures show the underneath of car you can see the pans are great. the previous owner did a complete resto and used rust proofing. this is a super vega runs tight shifts great and handles like a small sports car, it has the gt package with front and rear sway bars and gt dash, panel trim is base model. the car is in non op and is smog exempt in ca, please contact me with further questions, i work out of town it may take 12 or so hours for response or my wife can answer some questions. the pictures should show the car good. if you live in california i would not hesitate to drive it home. motor is so simple if you watch the temp guage nothing will go wrong/ all gauges work also, the tach needs to be calibrated again. I hate to see her go i had three as a young man and was able to relive a couple memories so time to let it go. Would be a super candidate for a v6 v8 swap, gets 27 to 30 mpg. if the carb was rebuilt professionally it should get 33 to 35 mpg. tires are near brand new they are 60 series so they are wider but not too wide, original gt rims original gt rings very very hard to find not re pops all center caps original also have six gt rims five gt rings 7 center caps and also 2 studded tires. i
