Vehicle Detail
Up for sale here I have an original 1951 Chevrolet 3100 3 window short bed truck with lots of patina. This truck was just pulled off of a farm here in Kansas where it had been sitting for quite some time. It still has an original style delco battery in it with the removable caps. The truck is in rough shape and should not be bought to build a rust free truck but it would work well for a patina rat rod project or a parts truck. There is rust in a lot of the panels including the cab corners, lower cowl, kick panels, front floors, lower doors, runningboards, and the bed sides, The frame is good and solid. The truck is fairly complete missing mainly the transmission, tailgate and the door glass. The door handles don't latch properly and the window mechanisms don't roll up and down like they should. The original 216 is very complete but I'm sure it has locked up from sitting so long. The dash is all still intact with the key still in the ignition. The heater is also still under the dash and the seat frame is complete and there. The gun rack is still in the back window. The front bumper is there and straight as well as the rear bumper but the farmer built a receiver through the middle of the back bumper. They also welded a steel floor in for the bed floor. Overall this is just a good truck to build a rat rod out of or use parts for your resto. The dealership logo is still above the chevrolet emblem on the hood on the passenger side but it has fallen off the drivers side. The truck rolls, steers and the tires hold air for transport. The truck does have the body tag on the drivers side door post with the serial number on it. EBAY DOES NOT HAVE AN OPTION FOR NO TITLE BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW THE TRUCK DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE. I CAN GET A TITLE WITHIN A WEEK BUT IT WILL BE TITLED TO THE ENGINE NUMBERS WHICH IS HOW THESE TRUCKS WERE TITLED WHEN SOLD NEW. THIS IS THE WAY THE KHP VIN INSPECTOR SAYS IT MUST BE DONE. I can sell the truck to you on a bill of sale or get you the clear title to the engine numbers your choice. This is a no reserve auction so one bid could own this truck. The truck is for sale locally so the auction may end at anytime before a bid is placed. Full payment within 7 days and I can store the truck for a month after the auction ends. I can also assist with delivery within 200 miles for $1.00 per loaded mile. Thanks and good luck bidding. On Mar-14-14 at 14:01:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Truck can be titled as a 1949 so the serial number on the body plate could be used but it would not be correct because 49's did not have wing windows. But I could have the title within 3 days doing it this way.
