This 1965 Chevy C-10 Long-bed truck is the smoothest,cleanest and most powerful truck.Let's start with the story of this beautiful truck . The owner of this truck promised the original owner that he would restore it just before he passed. Vern took the truck and removed the body and did the body and frame separately . The body was painted in PPG two stage paint with PPG clear. The frame was painted single stage PPG Black. The paint is used throughout the truck (see photos)this truck has always been a California car . The chrome was done in triple dip show chrome. The tailgate has been customized and made smooth. New Oak bed lines the bed. The gas tank was replaced with a new aluminum 20 gal tank and relocated out of the cab and under the bed.All the suspension was rebuilt and woks without a creak or noise. The Drum brakes we also completely rebuilt with a power booster that makes it stop perfectly. The rims are Centerline 15" aluminum , the tires are Cooper 265/70R15 like new. Inside the cab there is a new 60/40 seat with a center fold down console.The wiring system is also completely new.The new carpet and door panels are custom made for this truck. The instrument cluster is also new Centerline with new gauges. It has a tilt steering column with power steering. A new air-conditioning and heating system was installed. The engine is a 300hp 350ci crate motor right from GM with about 1500 miles on it. New Holly 4barrel carburetor. New electronic ignition system. new power steering system. The transmission is a new Turbo 350 automatic.The Battery was relocated under the truck to keep a clean appearance . Not expense was spared in the build of this truck.This truck was bulit with a passion to build a nice driveable truck that almost anybody could drive and enjoy. Vern is done building the truck that his friend wanted him to build and now wants to sell it to help him pay for his retirement .
