1977 BMW R75/7I am not an expert but I think this bike is completely original. I don't see anything that leads me to believe otherwise. I am the 3rd owner. The original owner purchased it new from the BMW dealership in Kansas City, MO. All papers from this transaction are with the bike. The second owner had it as part of a collection. It sat in a climate controlled building for aprox. 33 years unused. I dumped the old gas, rinsed out the tank, put new gas in, cleaned the carbs, replaced the plugs-points-all fluids-all filters, battery.It started immediately. Runs great. The good11,007 milesAll matching numbers- see picturesVery few, very minor scratchesFor this age, this is the cleanest, most original lookin engine No rust whatsoever, the common areas- handlebars/exhaust/brackets/wheels have NO rust!No oil leaksStarts and runs as it shouldAll fluids replaced, new oil filterNew spark plugs and pointsNew batteryFace of gauges, verbiage between gauges, and on the handgrip controls are like new (NOT faded like most)Hand grip and foot peg rubber is all like new (NOT cracked, worn, or rotted)Like new Krauser bags, trunk, and Reynolds rack system with NO rust The badAt one time it had a fairing, where the brackets were mounted to the frame there are some scratchesI do not have the original seatI do not have the original front turn signals OtherThe valve covers are chromed- I don't believe this is original The front fork ribbed boots were removed and replaced with the custom onesThe tires may be original, they are not cracked and look very good but may be oldKrauser bags and trunk are like new, come with original papers and keys Please email me with any questions. Shipping to either coast is approximately $500-$600 Sure, you might be able to buy one of these for $3000-$4000 that has 10 times the miles on it, has probably been laid down, has rust on the exhaust and handlebars. But, be realistic, add up what is will cost you in time to research/find parts, cost of parts, labor to install.Then, will have a bike as original as this, in as good of shape. Thank you.
