Vehicle Detail

Rare 1964 Studebaker Cruiser R1 Avanti Powered 1 of 38 Built Low Reserve Vehicle Description: You are bidding on a 1964 Studebaker Cruiser, powered by an R1 Avanti engine. For 1963 and 1964, Studebaker offered Avanti performance engines as an option in all Hawk and Lark models. This Cruiser was factory built with the Avanti powered R1 engine. The 1964 Studebaker sedans came off the assembly line in 5 models; Challenger, Commander, Heavy Duty Sedan, Daytona, Cruiser (The Cruiser was the top trim level). Total 1964 Cruiser's produced with a R1 Engine: Only 38 produced with Avanti R1 engines (only 4 painted Jet Green)! This Cruiser provides performance, luxury and comfort. The air conditioning and tinted green windows makes it perfect for driving any distance in the summer heat. Condition: This car has a great running engine and the heavy duty transmission and disc brakes were rebuilt by the previous owner. The front floor received patch pans and the floors coated with POR15, then new carpet. There are areas on lower doors that have some rust bubbles and headliner has an open seam. It runs and drives fine, but deserves a nice paint job and restoration. We have had it in storage for a couple years since we owned it.
