1972 GMC Jimmy

This Jimmy was imported into British Columbia Canada in 2007 from Oregon. It will need a Provincial Safety Inspection to be licenced. It is very presentable and original looking other than having a reupholstered interior and non original wheels. This Jimmy is being sold as a project as it does need some TLC after recently being brought out of covered storage for over 7 years. Before bringing it back to life we changed the fuel pump, engine oil, flushed the gas tank and lines and rebuilt the carburetor. The brakes have been bled and the pedal and brake systems are operational with good pedal pressure. The next owner will want to address the following issues, some need doing and some items can wait for weekend tinkering. Transmission shifts however there may be a linkage problem, rebuilding may be necessary. Front leaf spring show fatigue Battery is weak Windshield has a 20 cm crack Headlights, brake lights work however right signal light sporadic Waindshield washer cycles, no fluid Dome lights out Fiberglass top has small hairline cracks at hinges Some oil residue on driveline components, minor leaks This Jimmy has taken a hit sometime during its life, evidence of frame being staightened, repair appears to have been done professionally. Now the good news, Its all there and it looks good, tailgate is staight as is the body. New instrument cluster New TOYO tires This Jimmy is priced reasonably for both the seller and the buyer. This gives the new owner lots of room to spend some TLC and a few bucks on this project without breaking the bank.
