5 DAY AUCTION ENDS SUNDAY NIGHT AT 6PM PST!!! CAR WOULD MAKE A GREAT GENERAL LEE OR R/T CLONE First I'm going to apoligize for the long listing and huge amount of photos in the album but I want you to know and see what it is that you are buying as I know that these cars are not cheap to restore. I'll give pics of the car to the buyer of it in the garage and coming out of it for the first time to go along with your build. Up for sale here I have my 30 plus year garage stored 1969 Dodge Charger white hat special!!! The car was a 318 automatic, column shift, bench seat with headrest, a/c, power steering car from the factory and is still that way. This car is missing very little and should save you time and money searching for parts. The engine is matching numbers as the vin is stamped above the oil pan on the passenger side but it has locked up from sitting 32 years and I have not tried to soak the cylinders to free it up (should be rebuilt if you plan to take the car back stock. I didn't check the transmission to see if it was matching numbers when I had it up on the lift because it was caked in an inch of grime. The story I got from the previous owners was that the car was bought for $300 (wouldn't that be nice) in Illinois where it was sold new by the mom back in 1982 for her then 3 year old son to give to the dad as a birthday present project car. It was driven home and parked and never messed with again. They moved here to Ottawa, Ks in 1984 tucked the car in their garage and stuff was just piled around it for 30 years. I found out about the car 8 years ago when my then supervisors parents were getting a divorce and his dad gave it to him to avoid it being in the divorce. I have been bothering him to buy the car basically every time I've seen him since then. Around a month ago I saw him at work and asked about the car and it was still not for sale. Then on January 9th he came to work and called me to ask if I was still interested in the car and I bought it on January 11th. The 3 year old is now 35 and the car is still in the same condition as it was back then. I have the original owners manual, airtemp booklet, service manual, window sticker, plastic envelope, fender tag, dash vin, partial build sheet under seat bottom, full build sheet behind seat back, the original ignition key, the 1980 Illinois title from when they bought the car and never titled it in their name and a clear Ks title in my name. The car is showing 27830 miles and I would guess that it would be 127830 but I don't know as the car was only 13 years old when it was parked. It does have rust from its 13 years on those northern roads of Illinois and some very incorrect and amateur bodywork in the quarters, fenders, lower front door corners and rockers. This was all done prior to them buying the car in 82. The car needs quarters, outer wheelhouses, tail panel, rear valance with corners, center of the trunk pan, driver front floor pan, some sail panel repair by the back window, and patches in the fenders rockers doors and a few very small spots in the unibody. The passenger front floor needs a 2"x2" patch in a flat spot and there are a couple very small patches needed on each side of the front seat but i believe that the back floors are good to go. I HAVE A SHUTTERFLY ALBUM WITH 255 PICTURES IN IT THAT I WOULD LIKE FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TO SEE BUT I DON'T THINK EBAY WILL ALLOW ME TO ADD THE CLICKABLE LINK IN THE AUCTION. It is garagefind1969chargerpics.shutterfly. com. REMOVE THE SPACE BETWEEN THE .COM IF YOU COPY AND PASTE IT. MESSAGE OR CALL ME AT 785-220-4411 IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE GETTING TO THE SITE. The hood on the car is very nice and the deck lid should be very usable but it does have some heavy surface rust in the rear lip. I removed the underhood insulation pad to see if it was hiding anything and it wasn't. The window sticker states that the car came with hood mounted turn signals and those are missing. The plastic part of the grill is basically perfect. I can't find or see a single crack or missing piece in it. It does have a small scratch on the drivers side in the silver part but would be gone with a grill repaint. The stainless is all the around the grill but it has its share of dings in it. The headlights, trim rings, and actuators back behind the grill are all there. The bumpers and bumper guards are straight on the car and should rechrome nicely. The front valance is there with the park lights and should be usable but i think its dented. The battery tray was basically rusted in half so I removed it to see the condition of the inner fender and it is nice as is the other side. The firewall and upper and lower cowl sections are nice and solid. The roof appears to be good and solid around the front window and quarter seams but has that low corner rust that most chargers get. I thought about removing the vinyl but a local mopar restorer recommended I leave it in as found condition. The doors open and close nicely and don't sag too much. All the glass is good on the car other than the windshield its cracked. The drivers front window regulator needs work as it clicks if you don't help the window up. The trim is all present on the car but has small dings in places but would restore nicely. The engine bay area is very complete missing mainly the A/C components, the oil cap, and the wing nut on the breather. The original radiator is still in place as well as many of the stickers that were placed under the hood from the factory. The underhood wiring appears to all be present and undisturbed. Inside the car the dash is mostly complete missing the middle A/C vent and the clock is pulled out of the dash but I have it. All the soft parts on the interior of the car have hardened over time and will need redone but they are present. The outer rim of the steering wheel has shrunk over time leaving a large gap where the seam was. Someone was smart years ago and removed the carpet which probably helped save the floors. I have the door sills and black seatbelts for the front that they removed at that time. The plastic hinge covers have both been broken off of each side of the front seat and the dome light cover is missing. The car has the A/C heat box and the switches for the air and accessories above the original AM radio. The rear view mirror and sunvisors are present and the the mirror on the drivers door is a remote mirror. The fenders appear to need patched in the lower rear portion but don't look that bad underneath. The drivers side has a lot of filler smeared in what feels like a very small dent above the wheel. The passenger side has rust up over the headlight and about halfway back along the hood and some work above the wheel. I think both fenders could be saved with minimal work. The rockers have some issues but again I don't think total replacement is needed. The unibody structure of the car has maybe 5 issues total needing attention with 4 of them being very small patches mainly around factory holes. The worst part is in the passenger front wheel well but should not need a total replacement of the rail. I think being a factory undercoat car save it quite a bit. The plastic tail light protector is still installed in the trunk and the taillights are complete. There are some hard to find original parts and spare parts from the previous owners 69 satellite that they pulled off of it before it was junked. The under hood wiring harness is from that car not the charger. The chargers original bumper jack is included in the auction. There are some engine parts like coils, a manifold, a distributor, air breather lid, motor mounts, and two spare wheels and tires. The car has all 4 of its original hubcaps. The fender tag reads M21 M31 R11 V1X Y16 26 AO1 A41 C55 G33 H51 L31 B3 B3 C6D B7 403 324967 E44 D31 XP29 F9G 245901. Overall this car is just a good builder that hasn't ever been wrecked or apart and is missing very little compared to some of the others I've seen on here. Bid what you are willing to pay and make sure all funds are available prior to bidding. The reserve is very fair for a 69 Charger in this condition. It's set just over a local offer that I have on the car if it doesn't sell on here the first time I'm going to take the local offer. The car will have tires that hold air for transport if you are some distance away. I will assist in loading and can assist in delivery within 250 miles of Ottawa, Ks for a small fee. Email or call 785-220-4411 with questions. Full payment within 7 days with a $1000 deposit due within 48 hours. I prefer wire transfers but will accept checks but the car won't leave till the clear the bank usually around 10 days. Thanks and good luck bidding. On Jan-23-14 at 15:12:28 PST, seller added the following information: It's been a great two days of bidding. The reserve has been met so its going to sell. Thanks and good luck!
