This car is in great shape and very dependable. Recent major overhaul includes: new 1.6l engine, front brakes, clutch, battery, steering rack, strut cartridges, shift linkage, injection pump, belts/hoses, both CV drive axles, alternator, starter and more. Basically, everything under the hood. Spent over $6,000 in major over haul with an ACE VW mechanic. The tires have low miles on them. Includes truckbed topper. I had the AC professionally removed and parts from a heat only parts car installed. The gauge cluster was replaced due to malfunctioning speedometer, however, the used gauge cluster currently does not have a functioning odometer. The used odometer states mileage that is far in excess of what the car actually has. Actual mileage is estimated to be 150,000. I bought the car with 139,600 in 2007 and estimate that I've put 10,000 miles on it. The overhaul was approximately two years ago (maybe 5,000 miles). I drove this car to do estimates for contracting business and we're downsizing. These cars are known to get 40 - 50 mpg.
