2000 GMC Regular Cab, Short Box, Sierra 1500 Once every so often there comes along a vehicle so exceptional that it defies description. This is a three owner 49,275 mile truck in original, unmolested condition. The body and paint are as close to perfect as is possible and still drive the vehicle. There are no dents, dings, or scratches in the hood, doors, cab, tailgate, or box fenders. The front and rear bumpers are like new. The Michelin tires have about 4500 miles on them and look new. The carfax report is clean, with no prior damage reported. The paint is shiny and exceptional. There are three minute rock chips on the front hood, but they are so small I could not photograph them. The frame and underbody are rust free with the exception of minor surface coloring in a few small areas that is impossible to prevent. The inside of the pickup box has minor scratches and a couple of very small dings, but overall exceptional. I did purchase a rubber mat for the box which is included with the sale. The interior is original with the exception of a new pioneer stereo installed last summer. I have the original radio/cassette player. The interior fabric on the seats and carpet show no stains, tears, or other marks. There is very minor wear showing on the steering wheel, and interior panels. The engine bay is spotless and all decals are still there and in excellent condition. Mechanically the V6 runs very smooth, holds great oil pressure and gets 19-23 MPG in city/highway driving. The transmission, brakes, and other mechanicals operate smoothly and as intended. The truck has been super dependable, and given me no problems. I did a major tune up last year, and some minor maintenance to keep the truck in top condition. I have stored the truck inside since I purchased it. It is kept in my climate controlled garage. If you understand what this truck is worth, how rare it is, and you have been looking for a true unmolested step-side regular cab short-box truck that drives like new, this is your chance to purchase it. I have a clear title in hand. The bad: The front headlights are slightly fogged from exposure to the sun. My understanding is that they can easily be polished out. Also, there is a very small oil drip from sitting this winter in my garage. It appears to be engine oil. I assume that it is either the rear main or a valve cover gasket. It has not leaked before while I was driving it this past summer and fall, but since it has been parked, it has developed a very small drip. Also the A/C blows moderately cool, but could probably use a recharge. Overall this is an incredible truck. There are few, if any, left in this condition and mileage. Even if you purchased a rough truck for thousands less, you would end up putting more money in it then this truck. Solid body, frame, and never abused or modified. This is not a new truck, but it is an incredibly well taken care of, low mileage example that will only increase in value over the coming years. There is no warranty and is sold as is.
