Vehicle Detail
1960 Studebaker Lark VI, 170 cubic inch Inline 6 Cylinder, 3 Speed Manual Transmission with Overdrive (that works). Great car, looks good and runs even better. It is very dependable for your weekend cruising. Never fails to start and go. The engine is very smooth and at idle you can barely hear it running. I bought it as an original car with real miles on odometer. It appears to be an Original Car with only 68,246. You'd have a hard time finding a better one! It appears to have mostly original paint. The paint is the only thing that keeps it from being excuse free. I tried to get pictures of all body and paint imperfections. (dings, dents etc.) These would all be elimanted of course with a paint job. This is a very sweet Studebaker and would be a great addition to any Classic Collection or as a Weekend Cruiser. It needs nothing to drive and enjoy as is. The Overdrive works perfectly and it cruises easily down the road. I have a non transferable clean title that is signed over to me but the state of Ga. won't title a 1960 model. I registered it with a bill of sale. Check with your tag office but, all you should need to get a tag is a bill of sale from me. Of course, I will send the title to you as well. I suggest and would welcome an appraiser if you choose, and will make myself available most any time prior to Auction's close. It has a new battery and the tires look new as well. The interior is in great shape with no tears or cracks. Also, no tears or cracks in the dash. The carpet is in great shape as well. When I bought it I had the fuel system thoroughly cleaned as it had some trash in the fuel filter. I had everything cleaned, including the fuel tank, carburetor, fuel lines and replaced the fuel pump as well. As I said it runs smooth as silk and can barely tell it's running at idle. Included is a Shop Manual and Owners Manual. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the original owners manual that came with the car when new. I bought it from a dealer in Florida who got it from Oklahoma. I don't know if that's where it spent most of it's life, but that's what the dealer told me. Happy bidding and enjoy your Studebaker if you win it.
