Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1984 buick grand national it is the real deal and is NOT a clone. I bought this car well over a year ago on ebay for almost 5,000.00 and it needed a ton of work. I am a ase certified mechanic so all the work i have done has been done properly and no short cuts were took and no wires were cut. The car still has the original engine and trans but both have been rebuilt by the previous owner and i have verified that by dropping the oil pan on the engine and the engine has forged pistons and has arp studs in the crank instead of bolts from the factory, the heads have arp head bolts and has had the 87 grand national intake manifold, 87 headers, 87 turbo and intercooler, 87 ecm, 87 injector harness and 87 main wiring harness, 87 serpantine belt brackets and acc's, also it has a accufab afpr and kenny bell chip which needs to be swapped out for a turbo tweek updated version chip it also has a terry houston s/s down pipe and dual exhaust with flowmasters (no cat installed but can be put back on no problem) the egr valve and controller have been deleted along with the a/c compressor and lines and evap coil and condensor (but can be installed no problem if you like, it will just bolt right in and work). The car also has a very hard to find kenny bell ram air air dam on it as well and the car has a massive engine oil cooler mounted up front with a huge transmission cooler with all russell fittings and s/s braided lines it looks and works great also installed is a new f body aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan (factory one). The car would run 11's or 12's in the quarter mile if you just add 60 pound injectors and a current version matching turbo tweek chip which can both be bought new from turbo tweek for 389.00 last time i checked i just never got to it, also has a new ac delco fuel pump. The car runs very well i have drove it to texas and back 4 times and drove it all over alabama with no problems at all. The car runs well but its cold natured now being that the cat and egr system has been deleted so you have to get the engine warm before you take off driving on a cold day, on a warm day theres no problem at all, but again you can install the egr system and that problem would go away but i like the extra hp so it was worth it to me to remove the egr system. The car is 30 years old now and is a antique so your state should not give you any problems about inspection because most states exempt the inspection after 25 to 30 years depending on your state but its 30 years old now so you should no worries, we do not have state inspection in alabama. The outside of the car looks good and i dont see and rust on the body at all, The car was repainted by the previous owner a couple years back and looks good but that person decided to shave the door handles and lock cylinders so i had to grind all of that out and reinstall the handles and lock cylinders on both doors now it looks right but i had to take it down to bare metal around the area where the handles and lock cylinders were so i primed it and painted the area with black gloss spray paint so it would not rust and look decent until i got it repainted. The rest of the car looks good expect on the hood theres a crack in the body filler someone used on the hood by the turbo buldge i dont know why they used body filler there because underneath the hood you see no damage at all maybe it was hail damage or a small dent that had a wave in it and they were trying get it straight im not sure on that one. I also installed the 87 grand national grill and 3rd brake light and 87 tires and rims with new oem center caps and lug nuts as well, so now the car looks just like a 87 grand national now. I just had a alignment done and its all in the green and drives straight. I get stopped all the time and get nothing but compliments on it even with its current paint job. The only 2 problems that i know of is one the back window is leaking and i took it to a glass shop and they said the urathane seal was cracked at the top and needed to be pulled out and re-sealed and that would take care of it, they wanted 150.00 to do it but i just waited because it stays in the garage i just noticed it last week in the rain it drips on the back seat but no big deal easy fix. The second problem is the odoemeter stopped working 2 days after i got the car but the car has only had about 6,000 miles put on it since i bought it last year. Also has new carpet and floormats installed and has dyno mat installed through out the car to keep it quiet in the car. The car has the factory radio that i sent out and had them install a usb port so i could listen to my ipod instead of old cassette tapes, also has new front and back factory style speakers that sound great. I am only selling this car because i have to pay off some medical bills and have to do it quick so the car has to go. This is a great car with great roots and with just a little time a money it can be a very nice classic that everyone loves all the hard work has been done for you. On Jan-17-14 at 19:55:55 PST, seller added the following information:I forgot to add that this car is a t-top car and comes with a extra set of t-tops and factory delco t-top bags and also i forgot to add that the t-top seals are in decent shape but have some wind noise so i would replace the t-top seals and the door seals to make sure all the wind noise is gone for good. The seals can be bought at g-body for about 350.00 or so i think and there easy to replace i just did not make it that far yet but like i said i drive it all the time and i am very very picky about my cars so i want to list everything i know about the car.On Jan-18-14 at 11:34:24 PST, seller added the following information:I forgot to add that the scanmaster sitting on the dash does not come with the car my friend loaned me his so i could tune the car but now that im selling the car i have to give it back to him. I would definitely buy one if you get the car because it lets you watch what the ecm is reading and that is very important with these cars. There about 175.00 i think and just three wires to hook up its very easyOn Jan-19-14 at 17:12:40 PST, seller added the following information:BONUS!!!!! I am throwing in a brand new in the box 2600-2800 high stall convertor from oregon performance i never got around to putting it in, also i have a 13 vane billet pump that upgrades the 7 vane pump currently in the transmission and a billet stator the stock stator is bad about swelling and causes problems so since i was going to put the convertor and pump in i just went ahead and got the stator because it bolts to the back of the pump and i have a good used oem throttle valve cable i will throw in to there bad about streching over the years but all of this can be done at one time. I forgot to add on the passenger seat on the side by the door there is a small tear and was like that when i bought the car but i took it to a upholstery shop and they said they could unstitch that side piece and sew in a new piece for 60.00 and it would match right up no problem. I also have some more extra new parts that will go with the car as well.On Jan-21-14 at 18:11:05 PST, seller added the following information:UPDATE!!!!!!
